Yeah, Repubs could have caucus with not as crazy dems and elect some "centrist". Only problem is you want a bat-crazed dem as contrast going into 2022.

Any dem House Speaker with still have Pelosi's network capabilities/connections.

Although it could be the opposite. Maybe McCarthy is making a deal with the AOC crowd. I would do the same thing just to troll a lot of corporate/Lincoln Project stooges and create a huge contrast.
