A good multivitamin and a good full spectrum mineral complex.
What brings people down in times of food shortages in not so much the lack of calories in the long term but a lack of necessary nutrients in the short term. Especially if you are having to do unaccustomed labor.
Oh and get your teeth taken care of. And keep taking care of them. The toothbrush and Listerine is your friend (a terrible tasting friend but a friend). Keeping your teeth in your mouth and abscess free is something we take for granted.
