SAS Ethos - Who Dares Wins
I have mixed feeling about things the English do, but deep respect for some of their military forces. SAS is one of them, they often shun media exposure but are extremely good soldiers.
In Northern Syria during the battle to end ISIS, in the initial stages preparing to take the ISIS capital of Raqqa, there was a night assault on the dam and power plant at Tabqa. Some SAS were dropped in to prepare for the attack. They worked with our Special Ops and the best of the SDF forces. They were able to capture the dam without it being blown up. It was already mined to do that.
The English’s Gurkha’s are also incredible soldiers.
BEST!
Bump
Our friend (long gone now) served with Gurka’s in Italy during WWII.
He participated in 4 campaigns 3 amphibious assaults. So, he was a hard man to impress. But he spoke with admiration and respect for the Gurka’s.
What is not to respect with them. Honorable and fierce fighters.
