More than a third of Americans want to have their pumpkin pie and eat it too this Thanksgiving, according to a new survey.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, 38 percent are planning a holiday dinner with 10 or more people — and 27 percent don’t plan on practicing social distancing during their celebration, according to the national survey by the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The other 62% are pouring gravy over zoom and waving at grandma in the home.
We were not doing Thanksgiving anyway this year, family scattered to four winds to do the holiday elsewhere.
The other 62%, shivering in the corner, would never have dared pioneer this country. They call EMT for a paper cut.
Watch all the networks have a sappy piece showing how families lemmings are having virtual Thanksgiving with all smiles and kisses.
They make me want to vomit.
My family is getting together minus a couple who can’t make it for various reasons. So we are ignoring the recommendations. So far my Governor hasn’t issued any formal recommendations over it. Hope he doesn’t.
Ours is reduced—instead of about 20 will be 10.
I’m in CA and it looks like 63 degrees and sunny on Thanksgiving so we will likely hold it outside during the warmest time of the day.
We can still do all our normal Thanksgiving traditions: hiking, wine tasting (wineries allow a bottle of wine on their grounds even if tastings are prohibited), and a movie—but the movie will be at home (and without the older folks) instead of in a theater now.
Curse the Dems and their anti-home and hearth attitude!
Right now we are planning on 12-15 for Thanksgiving at our house.
But we are in FREE Alabama where while we still have face diapers in businesses our Granny Gov. flatly stated there will be no restrictions imposed by the state for family gatherings.
Coast to coast and border to border we need
DEFIANCE, not compliance!
“zoom”
How many will be caught toobin with the turkey?
That would be my Sister and Brother-in-law.
As usual, I will be having 50 people over for Thanksgiving. If the Mayor doesn’t like it he can suck my Richard.
To be fair, some probably never do anything anyhow. I’m still planning on on visiting with family. I’m sure some elderberry wine will help.
If a pollster called you about this would you tell them you were having people over for Thanksgiving?
Of course not.
This poll is fake news.
Going to a neighbor’s house, all five of us; they said to bring a toothbrush and some sort of wearing apparel and they’ll say we live there.
To be fare..about half of those 62% are not legal citizens.
i was just out at the store, not a BIG turkey in sight. All gone, or did they not stock big turkeys, because we have no need for one?
My Thanksgiving will be small because most of my family are Biden voters and don’t want to come to a Trumper’s house.
More leftovers for me.
fair that is.

The only ones I have left in my family are my two sons. One lives in Indiana and hasn't been back east since he moved there. Can't blame him, but he's also got a compromised immune system from cancer surgery and chemo in April 2019. They took out about 80 lymph nodes during the surgery. And because of neuropathy pain in his hands and feet from the chemo, he hasn't been able to go back to his job. His wife has been working from home. My oldest son lives about 2 hours east of me in Troy, NY, so we usually do Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner on the weekends so he can come and stay overnight. He's been working from home, and can only visit weekends, and he's limited there because he has a cat that requires medication...one of them kitty chemo once a week, and another med is an appetite stimulant. So he has to be there on those days so he can feed her throughout the day. At least the medications are working. She's actually put back on almost 2 lbs.
I prefer cheeseburgers or pizza.
The traditional meal never did much for me.
