Get some friends .... have each one bring a dish & fine bottle of wine - rotate houses or if you have someone willing to ‘host’ on a regular basis, do that. This will be cheaper than $50/person before you even get to a table - the food will likely be better, too.
I do not go out to eat any more. Tired of paying prices (that would keep me in groceries for a week) for food that is nothing special if not marginal, not prepared in a healthy way, & paying a price for a glass of wine that would otherwise buy an entire bottle of wine that is decent. Service is usually pretty not-so-great either.

Cooking for friends while enjoying store bought wine is an inexpensive way to enjoy fellowship and good will. And the service is always better.
Cooking isn’t rocket science and food vids on youtube have made cooking class and cookbooks totally obsolete.
And you don’t have to worry about being overheard expressing politically incorrect views (turn off all devices and lock them away).
