It could be that Trump legal team saw what she has put together to file in GA, and it is a bombshell, they do want to distance for legal and political reasons and as far as the optics go for this Sunday, who gives a damn, those poor optics are going to be very short lived once she files her suit.
So, it’s Sunday, ready to go home, drop the sternly worded release you need to create the distance and get on with it.

Rudy, even if irritated about something, could have handled this better. He stated: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
He could have stated: Sidney Powell is not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. Instead, she is acting on behalf of herself and others practicing law as a lawyer admitted to the Federal Bar.
Says much the same thing without the slight and drama.
The prosecutors reneged on the "no prison time" part of the deal.
I would not bet on that..... but I suppose anything is possible.
Maybe they are just positioning her as independent and thus unbiased?

I agree. I listened to her on Mark Levin and she’s a whack job. No serious lawyer makes wild accusations accusing the FBI the CIA and naming names without offering any proof. But a lot of females get caught up in hysteria....

This is nothing but spin. WE is not a reliable conservative source.
Suspect amicable separation. Powell is not a paid member of the team. She is working on a separate track, i.e., massive computer voter fraud. Her efforts are overshadowing Rudy’s efforts and could hurt upcoming court cases.
Also, Powell is going after Kemp, CIA, FBI, etc. GOP worried about impact on Jan 5 runoff. That said, Powell’s efforts is the hill Trump should die on. Much bigger numbers involved to overturn election results. Powell will go forward with legal case, probably file on Wednesday. Release the Kraken.
She is highly respected Attorney and has a great track record.
It sounds crazy to most good people that are not red pilled.
Maybe they put her out there as a “Look! Squirrel!” distraction for the press while Sekulow, et al., are doing the serious stuff behind the scenes.

Sidney has stated all along that she is working separate from the Trump team. She has her own funding stream and who she is representing is the people of America. She’s a friendly force or Trump would not be retweeting her. But, she is and has always been a free agent with a different line of focus. What she is going to expose will likely take down people from BOTH parties. This would not make Trump popular if he was paying her to do it. Meanwhile, Trump’s legal team (led by Rudy and Jenna) is dealing with finer matters of the law in each state. They are on the same team in terms as they are all working for free and fair elections and are pro-POTUS. But, they are not officially working on the same team.
No, we haven’t been had. You just listened to the media’s characterization of Sidney’s role, not her actual words.
Powell represents the Stop the Steal organization.

Could this be as simple as: Because Ms Powell represents LTG Flynn, in order to avoid a conflict of interest she needs to remain separate from Trump’s legal team in case the president has to issue a full pardon for Flynn?
