So far as is known, NOBODY died of the vaccine in the trials. In all of the trials that I know of in Western countries of potential COVID-19 vaccines to date, one person died, but it turned out to be a person in the control group (got placebo).
I’m not exactly sure in all these trials how many volunteers received one of the vaccines, but it has to be over 100k in total, and probably 20-40k for any one vaccine. So, worst case for a vaccine mortality rate, at present you have 0 in the numerator and 20k in the denominator. Of course, in this culture, some people will fear even those odds.
If it helps me get into the nursing home to visit my mother, I will stand in line for it.
