The local Walmart was almost cleaned out of toilet paper the other day, but then again the Shop n Save had plenty.

But the dollar store now has more hand sanitizer than before the pandemic.

Proof that we as a species can be controlled almost entirely by fear alone.

There must be bodies everywhere.

You probably can’t drive down alleys because of all of the dead bodies.

“.....on Amazon...”

It’s interesting how many things I can find on Amazon
that I can’t find in the stores.

Coincidence?

Marko

Our regular grocery has (taking advantage of an expected crisis) jacked up the prices on the paper products to a level I will not pay. Apparently many other customers also are refusing the offering prices. When we went on Sunday, there were pallets of TP cases, 12 feet high. There were stacks and stacks of Cottonelle covering the top of the cold cases that store lunch meats, cottage cheese, Pillsbury biscuits, etc., which are sort of near to the TP shelves. The actual TP shelves were completely full. They still had the “limit 1 package to customer” signs up. As long as I can get a huge pack or 2 at Walmart on a regular basis, no way am I going to pay the jacked up prices at HyVee, and they can just wallow in their overabundance and 1-per-customer limits.

I stocked up well for hurricanes and my main concern, what is the government going to pull next? I was gong to start using my canned stuff and other non perishables but then the idiots gave us the possibility of a Biden presidency. Because of that I’m now back to shopping like I did months ago.

Female voters condemned us to hell once again, as they did by supporting Obama. Read Facebook posts...nearly 100% of females are COVID Karens.

Amazon vendors stocked up well..Buy cheap in the stores, then sell for huge profits in Amazon..Even if you get once a day,you can still have family get 3-7 every day and have a market for it on Amazon when there is none in the stores....

FWIW, it’s less about getting sick than being locked up at any time for any length if time by your gov.

How do you plan when you can’t trust your pols?

You hoard.

No new powder, primers, or brass will be hitting the shelves for at least a year. Probably two. Maybe forever.

Friend who manages a sporting goods store is very depressed right now. The wholesalers he goes through are no longer accepting orders for ammo, guns, or reloading supplies. They are saying they can’t get ANYTHNG from the suppliers.

He has some new muzzleloaders coming in, but can’t get caps or powder.

Good luck.

I’ve been expecting this.

I’m not prepping because of the virus or the truckers purported strike.

I’m prepping because of panic buyers stripping shelves bare from everything people need.

THAT is the bigger threat to the supply chain.

So I’ve been doing my stocking up a little here and a little there, just buying a little extra every time I go out shopping.

I know a LOT of people who are shopping the same way. Not buying enough extra to be noticeable, but always buying more than they need.

Since a bidet targets an already exposed part of one’s anatomy, it’s a lot easier to use than a shower.

Just make sure the water flow speed doesn’t defeat the purpose:-)

I’ve been using them for two or three years. It doesn’t and my TP consumption has dropped about 90%.

1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup (scant) ammonia
water to make 1 gallon.
cleans everything.

1Tbs 90% alcohol
1Tbs vinegar
1-2 cups water
cleans glass. (online formulas all call for 1-2 drops of blue Dawn. I’ve used the combo w & w/o the soap. Some call for cornstarch, which leaves a film. Some call for a pint of 60% alcohol, which I never buy. Some add alcohol to the general cleaner, which I think is unnecessary)

Most glass cleaners can do the job for everything else, although I add some ammonia for floors.

There is a foam glass cleaner w/butane that I swear by. I think it is called Sprayway...tall white spray can with a blue lid. It is phenomenal and I have used it successfully on a lot of grease-based deposits like creosote.

My OCedar mop has a 3 cup container and calls for 2TBS of ammonia or other cleaner and the rest water. Is great for floors. Remember that commercial cleaners that are not concentrates are mostly water.

Pure vinegar cleans everything. I use a 1:3 solution w/water in the shower and sinks. If you have hard water stains, use more vinegar.

For toilets, a 1/2 cup bleach and 3 cups water works fine. So does vinegar. Safe for septics. (have had a septic tank for 45 years, so all these formulas have been tested for that.)

Awesome or Fablulosa not only work well, they work well after being diluted about 1/2 & 1/2 with water.

Baking soda moistened with vinegar will act just like soft scrub. Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is another good and quick scrub. It acts just like scrubbing bubbles and needs a bit more of a rinse & dry. Make these in small amounts for each use. Baking soda and vinegar will cancel each other if mixed and stored and the initial CO2 build up can explode the bottle. Peroxide will become water over time if exposed to light.

If you want a scent, use essential oils. Color is unnecessary.

I save empty spray bottles. I have one purchased spray bottle dedicated to cleaner with one of those valves on the spray tube so it works at every angle.

Check out online formulas. There are many, You’ll save money, too.
