Romney Calls Trump’s Pandemic Leadership a ‘Great Human Tragedy’
Breitbart ^ | December 03 2020 | PAM KEY

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) said Thursday on CNN’s “Situation Room” that President Donald Trump’s leadership through the coronavirus pandemic had been “a great human tragedy.”

Anchor Wolf Blitzer said, “Yesterday on the coronavirus, it was the single deadliest day of the pandemic. More than 2,800 Americans were reported dead just yesterday alone, more than 100,000 people are hospitalized all across the country. The CDC director says the next three months will be, in his words, the most difficult time in the public health history of this nation. So here is the question, Senator, where is the president’s leadership? He’s obsessed with everything else, not with this.”

Are you a loyal ATT subscriber/investor?

Romney wishes he was Trump, but he’s a damn, mouthy pussy. No one really gives 2 hoots in a rain barrel what he says.

Yup, I’m guessing that’s central to his pathetic immaturity.

Romney doesn’t do anything unless it benefits him personally. That’s not leadership either.

Trump is a worker, an owner and an entrepreneur with a pair. Mitt, Obama, Clinton’s...et al, hop from crises (real or invented) to crises building a reputation by being onscene picking their collective noses. LBWA (leadership by walking around) looks good, might make some folks feel inspired, heck - even the press gets sucked in, but the impact is marginal if the walking around is done by somebody who really doesn’t know, or has no experience whatsoever except for blabbering semi-coherently enough (but not actually factually) for the lunkheads in attendance to knod in a show (i.e. pretending) of understanding.

Mitt is the new plague of the 21st century. A RINO on the democrat plantation hired to whip free people and other republicans who are free.

This guy is a liar and a murderer. Just what he said on Trump there makes me puke.

Trump starts a vaccine program and in 8 months there are two vaccines ready to be approved - a process that normally takes 5 years is done in less than a year. But to the Democrats and RINOs, Trump didn’t do anything and does not know anything. But Biden says “Wear a mask” as he hides in his basement and he is hailed as an expert and a hero.

Romney's game is difficult to understand.

To go on CNN of all places and to compound his previous deflections with these statements means that he has the bulk of the Republican Party base looking for pitchforks.

That implies that he cannot get a nomination to the presidency from this party. Does it mean that he thinks that Trumpism is so dead that he can safely stomp on the grave? Does it mean that he intends to jump parties? Does it mean that he envisions his remaining career as a lion of the Senate, casting the tie-breaking votes or threatening to do so and thus, Chief Justice Roberts style, become the de facto leader of the Senate, or what's left of the Republican Senate caucus?

Does he envision a new political party, one that draws on the Republican establishment and some remnants of sanity left on the Democrat side in which he can become a new champion?

Is Romney simply venting visceral hatred of Donald Trump heedless of the consequences to himself? Does he think he is doing a noble and honorable thing? Does he actually believe what he is saying?

The man's motivation eludes me.

Romney is a great human tragedy, much like the character in “The Man Who Would be King”, “King Lear” and Marlon Brando’s character in “On The Waterfront” - I could have been a contender (re Romney) if you hadn’t have been such a backstabbing, vainglorious, self-serving egotistical prick.

At least Marlon Brando’s character stood up to waterfront bullies while all Romney could do was to stab a fellow conservative (Trump) in the back time after time, after time.

“Et tu, Mitt”!!
