I'm not a lawyer and I haven't had time to dig deeply into the pile of papers but it appears that their responses are all along the line that "We can rig our own elections and there isn't much that you can do about it."

Ive only scanned the PA and basically I see them throwing up a lot of chaff. Bottom line, they do not dispute that they didn’t follow the law.

Only CNN can read the briefs and tel us what they mean.

Here’s some blue states showing up to ask the Supremes to toss out the Texas suit.

They all say about the same thing. Translation: “It’s none of your business”.

They avoid addressing the specific claims and simply argue that the Supreme Court should not be considering this petition.

I heard Sekulow the other day said the court asked the states to address specific questions. Michigan and Wisconsin seem to follow that format, and the other two just throw stuff against the wall.

Same for all the other states

found this in the Wisconsin one:

Granting Texas’s request would undermine the legitimacy of this Court and threaten faith in American democracy.

Which rulings effectively destroys not only faith in American democracy but the country itself.

All hail President Xi!

I don’t think there has been a showdown between states such as this since the Civil War, the basic difference being the use (or lack of use) of force.

I read through those and it looks like all the Criminals Agree, the Supreme Court has NO Right to judge what the state does, wether it Violates the US Constitution or not, Georgia even LIES to the Court in their Brief claiming NO LAWS were Broken or Modified and everything they did was approved by the legislature.

Shouldn’t the AG be Held in Contempt by the USSC and JAILED ON THE SPOT???

I finished reading it thoroughly and while I'm not a lawyer, Pennsylvania's response is "So what! So we changed our election laws - lots of states did!" They do not deny anywhere in it that I could find, that they completely violated their own state Constitution in doing so.

Again, I'm no lawyer, I just don't see how this argument is going to sit well with an objective, constructionist majority United States Supreme Court.

Because they cannot dispute it.

PA violated the law, its own state and the federal constitution.

It would seem that a lame response only raises the possibility of SCOTUS getting involved.
