“With” or “of” seems always to be left out of these doomsday announcements. Remember too that many people were forced to forego or delay important medical tests and treatments. It could be that we are seeing the result of those delays.

They tried to put my father’s death in August as covid, and he sure as hell didn’t have it. My mother told them exactly that, and they gave in. Otherwise, he’d have been a covid death if my over-80 and sharp as a tack mom hadn’t raised hell with them.

I agree. It doesn’t matter what the numbers are. I don’t hear ‘em. It’s been a year and we don’t know anything more in any meaningful way since then. Just “wear yer maks; if it’s fun, don’t do it; keep the economy locked down to please China.”
