If I was storyboarding this little political drama....
I’d let the opposition leak the abandoned hard drive, allow some of it to leak, but make clear to supporters and kindly media not to make it a bigger issue until after the election. When our boy wins through trickery or deceit, open some investigations, let it work through the system, and about six to nine months into the administration, make it clear to our boy that he has to resign for the good of the country, allowing the true believers to grab the reins of power. And led by a Woman Of Color! Let a thousand flowers bloom.
Or it can be conveniently used as a threat to keep our boy in line. Heh heh heh.
I’d pay $12 to see that on the big screen.
