I know how you feel, but I am having a damned hard time feeling ANY ‘gratitude’ for doing something that she should be doing no matter what.

They all should.

I heard on Seb Gorkas show today that there’s an argument to be made that the House votes for disputed elector votes should be the State delegates as would be if the House was choosing the President. In that case, Republicans have a 27-23 advantage.

I was confused about that. Who said that? I would think it is set in stone in the Constitution.

Yes, it would be wonderful if Kelly would join Mo Brooks just because it’s the right thing to do.

We need one courageous senator to step up and put the very future of our Republic first and foremost above all other self interest.

BTW, I meant to write I wouldn’t expect much help from the Perdues because I even heard PDJT’s own Agriculture Secretary (David’s Cousin Sonny) throw POTUS under the bus during Pence’s first rally. The former GA governor referred to Biteme as president-elect, which infuriated me!

Later, during President Trump’s rally, RINO David failed to acknowledge the deafening cries of FIGHT FOR TRUMP from the crowd and couldn’t leave the stage fast enough. What a jerk—and don’t forget he was caught recently extolling how much easier it will be working with BiteMe.

I’m kind of pulling for Loeffler, especially because her opponent (Warnock) is such an unmitigated POS!!

Oh, Hell. I am pulling for Loeffler too, for both “Republicans” for that matter.

Just to stave of disaster just a fraction if possible.

I am not one of those “give the Senate to Schumer” people in case there is even the slightest, astronomically small possibility this fraudulent election can be remedied.

Even if the chances are a Quadrillion to One.

The same odds that four battleground states that went to Biden could have done so after hours at the same time with the lopsided vote totals for Biden.

Thanks.

Well, there’s that...

Quite the Christine Amanpour she apparently is.

Thanks for explaining. It’s hard to get my head around the idea that this isn’t a settled point but of course we are in uncharted waters.

Trump’s been vocal about supporting Leoffler and about her support for him. Not sure how that makes her a “Never Trumper”

OK, I found a clue. I found this account of what happened in 2005 when Democrats objected to the inclusion of Ohio’s electoral votes.

https://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/01/06/electoral.vote.1718/

“If one member of each body of Congress objects, congressional rules require that lawmakers return to their chambers to vote on the merits.

“A simple majority vote in each chamber would overturn the challenge — something that should be easily achieved in the GOP-controlled Congress.”

https://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/01/06/electoral.vote/

“Alleging widespread ‘irregularities’ on Election Day, a group of Democrats in Congress objected earlier Thursday to the counting of Ohio’s 20 electoral votes.

“The challenge was defeated 267-31 by the House and 74-1 by the Senate, clearing the way for the joint session to count the votes from the remaining states.”

So in 2005 the vote on whether or not to count electoral votes that were objected to was done by simple majorities in both the House and the Senate. I would expect the same procedure to be followed in 2021.

Will she even be there? Her term runs out on January 3rd. The chances of the results of the January 5th runoff being certified by noon on January 6th are pretty slim. She should be out of office when the count is taken.

She and Perdue should have promised they WOULD object right from the start. That way they could mobilize Trump supporters behind them. They are idiots for not explicitly promising to do so.

Then again, she might not.

So she “hasn’t looked at it”, and “January is a long way out”?

Useless Barbie.

I agree, I like a lot of what I see in him.

Pity he is part of the Republican Party, but he is obviously one of those people I would vote for regardless of anything.

I just saw that, and had the impression of ANYONE who had that monster on a wall in their domicile cannot love America.

This objection thing is a dog and pony show.

They know the objections will not “pass,” a simple majority has to agree with the objection, and that is not going to happen.

Of course the Congress is majority “deep state” or “insider” or “aristocrat class” or whatever you prefer. Those are the only types allowed into the parties, for the most part. Outsiders are shunned or, if a threat to the club, beat up like Trump was.

FBI and CIA are the enforcement arm. Elected folks are well-rewarded puppet actors, and the public is fed the myth that we have free and fair system, including “consent of the governed” by popular election.

The "each state gets one vote" system kicks in ONLY if the election isn't decided by electors' votes.

The "objection" thing has to do with the electors' votes. All the members of Congress, in joint session, weigh in on objections to the slates of electors.

3 USC 15 <- it's long, but " ... but the two Houses concurrently may reject the vote or votes when they agree that such vote or votes have not been so regularly given by electors whose appointment has been so certified."

Do not look to government for justice. Especially not the totally failed institutions of Congress or the Courts.

She was just playing it safe until she could get a full 6 year term. We have yet to see her true colors. MAYBE they won’t change, but her record thus far is MEANINGLESS!
