We took the bus to the beach and uptown and walked to the Public Market. It was a glorious youth.
Now, I roll up my windows when going through the city....in hopes of deflecting a bullet.
I lived there from 1978-1994 when I could no longer take it anymore (nor my kids—crime, horrid schools, kids getting harassed in school)
Moved to a quaint quiet village 40 minutes NE of downtown Rochester, 20 minutes from Lake Ontario and raised my kids there for 12 years.
Now I live 40 min SE of the city and have been here for 14 years.
It’s a shame what it has become- many places likewise that used to be great places to live or vacation, like in Maine, are now over run by obama imports and illegal immigrants and just unsafe to be out alone walking through the town at night- some places so bad even daytime is risky-
Rochester now consists of a lifeless downtown, surrounded on 3 sides by ghettos
