SCOTUS is willfully oblivious to their Catch-22 reasoning.
I feel pretty much the same way, but in my experience there is such a thing as the law of redistribution or call it delayed Karma. In other words more often than not all these deplorable crooks in some ways or another will get what they deserve. If you keep digging holes for others chances are, sooner or later you end up in one of them yourself.
I had trouble understanding standing in law school, I still don’t understand it. My problem was and is to think of standing as a legal term, where you have “openers” as in a poker game.
Standing, as used by this SCOTUS, and all others is a political term that says, go away, we’re not going to get involved.
We do “surveys” which is to collect opinions from any court, state or federal, on a particular legal principle and compare out comes. They should roughly follow a precedent, usually loosely but fact patterns vary.
Except when you survey standing, you’ll find almost as many opposing opinion as concurring ones.
Think of standing as an excuse to bail. To debate it otherwise is a fools game.
Hoping DVS crimes go to military tribunal (their docket was cleared into March), then SCOTUS ain’t chit.
Maybe that’s SCOTUS’ hope?

Yes, I thought throwing out the TEXAS suit regarding other States arbitrarily changing their election laws was bogus. Bush vs Florida won in 2000 for that exact reason.
‘Serv-U’ sparked my memory. Bobby Baker or Little Lyndon as he was known in 1955 when LBJ appointed him Secretary of the Senate Majority, later started the Serve-U corporation in 1962 (after LBJ became VP) along with partners Fred Black lobbyist ($14,000/mo) for North American Aviation, Ed Levinson and Benny Siegalbaum associates of mobsters Meyer Lansky and Sam Giancana. Serve-U provided vending machines to companies working on federally granted programs. The machines were made in Chicago by a company secretly owned by Sam Giancana which previously specialized in slot machines. There may well be no direct connection between the two Serv(e)-U organizations, but as slot machines evolved from mechanical to digital devices it’s not inconceivable that modern mobsters saw big opportunities in the new technology they were uniquely positioned to exploit. After all it was widely known that Sam Giancana was often credited with ensuring John F Kennedy’s presidential win in 1960.
