Rose Bowl denied a special exemption from California to allow fans into College Football Playoff (CA's loss = Texas gain?)

The Rose Bowl was denied a special exemption from the state of California to allow a few hundred fans to attend the College Football Playoff semifinal Jan. 1, putting the game's staying in Pasadena, California, in serious doubt.

A person involved with organizing the game told The Associated Press the Tournament of Roses' request was denied earlier this week.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Rose Bowl and College Football Playoff were still finalizing a plan for what to do with the game. A decision was expected before the playoff teams are selected Sunday, the person said.

If the game is moved a likely site would be AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The CFP offices are located in suburban Dallas.

Not allowing some fans into an open-air stadium isn’t about science, it’s all about Newsom’s power trip.

Yep and even with recall efforts bearing down on him, you would think as a politician who are always about their political survival that he would change a bit and yet he refuses to do so which feels you how stupid and power hungry he is

What was with the ACC Championship?

Did they think Covid Cooties rise like Helium?

No one in the upper deck. Forget the first six or so rows of the lower deck covered by tarps. Only the next eight rows sparsely occupied, except in the End Zones. (Why did they think Covid Cooties were less likely to spread in the End Zones?)

The Notre Dame coach hinted that he might boycott the game over this rule if his team beat Clemson. He didn’t, but I hope the Clemson coach as well as the coach of whomever opposes his team takes the same stand.

Virus is gonna virus.

May as well let it rip to hasten the day of herd immunity.

Lockdowns and face-diapering is only prolonging the agony.

they won’t allow fans in the lower sections behind the benches in any sport so as to “protect” the players from fans spreading the kung flu.

My niece, who is mostly liberal, is a science major from Northeastern and works in a lab in Boston. She’s our go to person for the kung flu. Even by her own admission, you catch it if you are near someone who is positive and you’re within 6 feet of that person for 15 minutes.

Fleeting contact won’t spread the virus.

No one who sits in the first row in any stadium is within six feet of anyone around the bench for even 15 SECONDS.

But then how does that square with this JAMA study that showed that:

Risk of catching coronavirus from a family member you live with is just 17% and only one in three people pass it on to their spouse.

What’s more, when the infected person did not have symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath, the transmission rate was just 0.7 percent.

Things just keep not adding up.

‘Fleeting contact won’t spread the virus.’

everyone knows this to be the case; but everyone is too damn cowed by the authorities they won’t admit it...

That’s NC gov Roy M. Cooper-Cohen’s edict of 7% max capacity. Asked why 7%, he said it “felt right”, strictly following The ScienceTM

It’s officially moved to Texas! JerryWorld gets the Rose Bowl. Take THAT, Gov. Nuisance.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-playoff-relocates-rose-bowl-semifinal-to-dallas-amid-covid-19-concerns-attendance-policy/

Saw a video last night where some moron was predicting a GOP backlash that would have Republicans taking back California. I posted that it won’t happen. California commies control the government and the means to unchecked massive vote fraud. The reason Gov. Nuisance is so tone deaf to the outrage of the people is because he need not fear them. The Democrats will just manufacture as many votes as they need to win any election. This is why maintaining the Electoral College is so important and we’ve saw this November how extensive the Democrat vote fraud machine is.

Meanwhile, here in Florida my state is open for business.
All you blue states under lock downs can starve.
I’m going to a local brew pub today where we all will social distance and laugh at N.Y. Michigan, Pennsylvania and Calif.
Tomorrow the wife and I will go to work as we have all throughout this China virus.

Agree on ND...but...

Florida played Bama a LOT tougher than A&M did.

So perhaps it should be Florida.
