Jamie Raskin ins the son of longtime (deceased now, Thank God) Marxist and possible Soviet asset Marcus Raskin of the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS - See S. Steven Powell’s book “Covert Cadre” about communists in the formation, funding and functions of IPS). Jamie Raskin is what is known as a “Red Diaper Baby”, usually children born to Communist Party USA members (including Carl Bernstein, Dave Marannis, former Rep. and San Diego mayor Robert Filner (D-CA), and Jeremy Stone (FAS), son of I.F. Isadore “Izzy” Stone, secret CPUSA member and definitely NKVD/KGB sometimes asset over time.
Two current “Red Diaper Babies” in congress are Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), whose red father just died. He was a Marxist in the dictatorial regime of Said Barre’ until he was overthrown, which was why Omar’s family had to flee Somalia.
The same for Peter Buttigieg, whose father was a known Marxist scholar, who, I believe, focused on international communist strategist Antonio Gramsci.
Now so-called VP elect Kamala Harris is also a “Red Diaper Baby” at least on her father’s side (he is or was an avowed Marxist/scholar). Not sure about her mother being a hardcore red but I think she came out of the Jamaican Left which had strong ties to Castro.
