Good. This habit of poisoning necessities needs to stop.
A pocket veto would have made sure of it.
WINNING!
They will override the veto. This was pissing in a Hurricane over an Appropriations Bill while the Republic is about to go dark forever.
Good for Trump, good for us.
It’s almost certainly symbolic, but that’s what we have.
Trump officially vetoes pork plugged National Defense Authorization Act for 2021 still winning.
If the Republicans overide the POTUS, Trump veto of the military, defense bill...they will be a finished political party in a short time. The Republicans better learn quickly, like today....that overwhelming numbers of the American people and voters voted for Donald J. Trump with 80,000,000 legal votes...not 75,000,000.
As for the stimulus piece of junk...both the Dems & the GOP better get all of the “Fat” out of that horrible thing they call a bill and start taking care of the American people also..like right now!!!
Read my lips politicians...Trump is the Boss and will remain the Boss...if not get ready for an ugly civil war!!! End of story!! These low life scum & vermin, politicians who mess with Trump are soon going to wish they were never born...and...that includes both Democrat & Republicans, etc.!!!
Just posted on another thread that the Democrats had inserted wording into this Bill that would have removed all Confederate monuments from National Park Service sites. They tried it in June or July, by inserting the same wording in another Bill that passed, and went to the Senate. That Bill was never acted on. An historian friend who lives in Beaufort, S.C. sent me a clip of today’s local paper reporting that the Democrats had indeed put the order to remove Confederate monuments from all Civil War sites, into this Bill.
Steady, ladies! Steady! Your fearless leader continues to show you the way. Follow him or leave the field...
Just realized that this thread was about the Defense Bill, so thought I’d better make a correction regarding the removal of Confederate statues from NPS sites. It was the pork Bill that issue was in, and after re-reading the article that was sent to me, it says that the wording about removing the Confederate statues from the NPS sites was in the original Bill, but was “removed” prior to the pork Bill being voted on. Republicans knew President Trump would veto the Bill if it was in it. I can’t imagine that Republicans didn’t think he’d veto the Bill anyway with all the other crap in it. In the article, the Democrats have said that removal of the section regarding the Confederate statues is only a temporary setback. They will keep trying until they get it done.
