Very poorly written. It sounds like a second employee, the "cooler man" intervened after the armed robber had already fired shots. My only nit with the actions were - I would not have issued a verbal warning. Once someone has initiated the use of deadly force (shots fired) I will remove the threat directly. I won't be asking.

Badly written article. Uses “guy” interchangeably, so you don’t know who’s shooting at whom. Reporters are so often functionally illiterate.
