People at TheDonald.Win are planning to attend the Protest in D.C. on January 6th, and are lending their advice and experience with DC subways etc. One advises visitors to AVOID the subways and park at Arlington Cemetery, then walk across the Memorial Bridge to the mall area where the U.S. Congress is - about 3 miles.
"As a former (but recent) swamp dweller:
Don’t trust metro. Shit is burning and derailing and crashing on good days. If you do want to use the subway, you will need a smart trip card, and there is nothing smart about those. They’re only sold at the most outlying metro stations and metro center station. Some drug stores and commuter stores sell them, check the wmata web site. Biggest to-dos are: Use cash. Rat commie shills aside metro can’t do shit right and I gaurentee your credit card info will be stolen from them within a year. Read the fare boards carefully and load up with what you need both to and from where you are going before hand. You don’t want to be stuck in the station trying to load your card with 6 or the 8 machines broken. You’ll have off peak, peak, and peak of peak fares to deal with. :-/ Be patient at the fare gates. Let the person in front of you get through and the gate and let it close before tapping your card. 80 percent of station managers are colossal jackasses looking for a reason to ruin your day and the other 20 are absurdly busy helping other passangers. Don’t get into a situation where you are on the side of the gate your card says you shouldn’t be. Go to the bathroom first. Aside from the VA side of the silver line all bathrooms are locked and you need a manager to open them. Be ready to walk. Half the elevators and a third of the escalators are broken. If a platform looks too crowded walk to another station. Metro sucks at crowd control. Don’t ride east of lenfant plaza on orange, blue, or silver. You start seeing a rougher crowd. Avoid the green line entirely. Red line seems to break down the most and there have been stabbings but it’s almost okay between the zoo and union station.
It may be better to just avoid the metro entirely to be honest. Even on an average day it’s a total shit show. If walking from VA, imho the best bet is to cross memorial bridge (take a cab or Uber to Arlington cemetery, plenty of parking at Reagan airport and pentagon city mall though it’s not free) walk straight to the Washington monument, then head north to the White House."
Expect subways to be unsafe - and traffic will be backed up downtown. Wear comfortable walking shoes/boots, and bring a packpack with water, food, and kleenex or paper towels (finding restrooms may be a challenge).
Here's what the map looks like from Arlington to the DC Mall:
I’ve waited 4 years to see Trump get reelected and look what happened. I wish you all the best but you folks are better men and women than the thieves on the left.
We are staying at the Holiday Inn fairly easy walking distance. Looking forward to meeting other great patriots on our “DAY OF DAYS.”
*Virginia, sorry for typo!
thank you for the post and info!
What about the parking garages in close to the mall? Are they better than airport parking?
Very limited paid parking at Arlington cementary.
By all indications, this is going to be a huge event. Hotel and airfare are going up by the minute. Services will be limited, so plan accordingly. Bring a pack with snacks, toilet paper and alternate comms.
I highly recommend watching THIS VIDEO by one of the organizers. Fast forward to around 13 minutes to skip to what pertains to the event.
Be prepared for literally anything.
Thank you for this! I will be using it!
You make Washington DC sound like a wondrous Tropical Paradise!
Is the donald.win Steve Bannon’s Warroom Pandemic site? On a laptop where I work I tune into the warroom on it sometimes and this program Sophos End Point will block access to that site for some reason. I’m still able to watch/listen to Warroom Pandemic though, but the site it’s blocking is Donald.Win. Any thoughts on what it is, and why this Sophos software would block it? Malware? Spyware?
The “everyone meet in DC on the 6th” has deep state trap written all over it... good luck.
That thought occurred to me as well that it may be a trap. Get all Trump Deplorables in one place and have some type of “event” happen. Let’s pray this does not happen and that it is peaceful for the deplorables.
That’s why as many people as possible need to show up.
It was fairly easy to use.
I started at the Crystal City using the blue line to Capitol South.
It worked very well, was clean well ordered on that one ride.
Just heard on Hannity - Stop the Steal rally at https://wildprotest.com/#map.
I will be there.
I’m trying to decide the best place in VA to stay....looking at both Fairfax and Dumfries.
I can deal with traffic being backed up; wasn’t planning on being on the front row. Heck, I’ll probably be happy to even HEAR anything. LOL
Wish we could make it...but DC is a long way from AZ, especially when hubby just returned to work after a 7 month furlough. The metro sounds like a nightmare these days. We were there last for the 9/12/09 rally and used it the entire 2 weeks with great success.
“Looking forward to meeting other great patriots on our “DAY OF DAYS.”
I hope you’re surrounded by a couple of million other Patriots.
LOL post.😀
