SHREVEPORT, La. — Congressman-elect Luke Letlow has died after contracting COVID-19 last week, according to his campaign manager Andrew Bautsch.
Letlow, who just turned 41, was getting treatment in the intensive care unit in Shreveport, according to an announcement on his Twitter page last week.

Nowadays, they'd list Covid-19 as the cause of death on his death certificate.
Previously, his primary cause of death would have been the heart attack.
And don't say, yeah, but if he hadn't got the corona virus, he wouldn't have died.
That's not necessarily true. Before the corona virus was ever heard of, people died of heart attacks regularly which were brought on by all kinds of bugs and infirmities.

Hold on. He died of a heart attack related to a procedure related to the infection. If he was on ecmo or similar his death is directly due to covid. If not covid is a known hypercoag state and at least likely a co tribute group cause. much more information is needed

Maybe, maybe not. Who cares? We all have comorbidities.
We have seen a bump of stemi heart attacks with folks with Covid in our ICU. The weird coagulopathies that some get with covid and a presence of cardiac atherosclerosis along with disruptions in the o2/co2 balance due to lung inflammation opens the pathway for heart attacks to occur. Then again we see this with any severe flu outbreak or with pneumonia and sepsis.
The congressman might have been “fit” but at age 41, it is not unheard of for a number of the male 35 to 50 yr. old population to suddenly have a heart attack and drop dead.(covid or not, George Floyd or not) That is, if atherosclerotic heart disease had begun to set in but the victim hadn’t had enough time to build in enough collateral vessels in the heart that we often see in old patients who get their first heart attacks and survive them.
It’s poor reporting actually since under other circumstances, we might have been reading about this poor man’s demise due to an MI arising out of a severe case of bacterial pneumonia and general septicemia. He had been treated for covid and was responding but then had a cardiac event they couldn’t save him from. I wonder if a widow maker in his heart took him out.
If a patient presents to the ER with a drug-overdose which causes a heart attack and the patient dies, he's not coded as a drug overdose as the cause of death. He's coded as a heart attack. He didn't die from the drug overdose. The overdose may have been the contributing factor but he died from the heart attack.
All of the rest of what you wrote is for the chart, not the death certificate as the primary "cause" of death.
You have no right to anything when it comes to this man’s death. And skeptical. Over what? You think the guy is alive somewhere and is faking his death? Now, if you have some proof that he is still alive, or he died from something other than Covid—pease share. Otherwise, the almost-ghoulish vibe your putting out is unmistakable.
If this man’s final days are like those other Covid patients on vents in ICUs, he probably had very limited family and friend contact in his final days. And at Christmas time.

close but no cigar. The death certificate has three lines below the primary cause of death for contributing causes. Likely in this case covid would be the first one listed if MI was the actual cause of death

Serious question. As the -19 strain mutations happen shouldn’t the mortality rate lessen?
With this and the pneumonia season being in full swing is full filtration respiratory protection, via 1/2 mask or full face needed while exposed to high volume close contacts with people?
I ask, as I’m still traveling and soon will have no choice but to travel by air. When it was the middle of summer it looked as though this would run its course before winter, but here we all are.
That request you made to show that influenza, or any other lung congestive condition has not had mass lethality in hospitals, nursing homes, church wellness centers, battlefield hospitals, the list goes on, Anywhere!!

The silly idea throughout history of mass gathering of infected or symptomatic effected people has been proven to be lethal.

the mortality rate has already dropped quite a bit. In regard to flying i don’t know your risk factors or overall health. I. do not personally believe masks help much but you will be required to wear one by the airline. sleep well eat well and take generally good care of yourself. reasonable amounts of vit d and zinc can’t hurt. beyond that you have to do anything you feel reasonable to protect your health it all comes down to individual decisions. Personally I am in a trip right now to seen family and had no qualms about flying but that’s me....

The Doctors are not General practitioners, every one of them that are in the some 15 odd are Specialists in their field. All associated with Cancer condition patients who have massively depleted immune systems.
