SHREVEPORT, La. — Congressman-elect Luke Letlow has died after contracting COVID-19 last week, according to his campaign manager Andrew Bautsch.
Letlow, who just turned 41, was getting treatment in the intensive care unit in Shreveport, according to an announcement on his Twitter page last week.

Far more sobering... what about the impact of entirely self inflicted 'superspreader' events where WE KNOW there were ornery refuseniks (the ones who already knew they were ill), going to rallies or family shindigs and kissing and hugging everyone there. Nothing new there - it's like the chicken pox parties when I was a kid.
The BLM rallies for example - way to spike the death rate in minorities. But it also happened at Trump election rallies and GOP shindigs.
I can't comment too much on the USA picture. But the UK picture... I've been involved with spinning up a new hospital in Britain and I have healthcare professionals in my family. A healthy 50 year old male relative recently died of COVID in the hospital my mum worked in. Mum has had to give up work and now lives with me, in a purpose built ground floor suite with accessible wet room - because since getting the virus she can't even stand up without WHEEZING let alone walk or drive. She goes back into hospital today to see how FUBAR her heart and lungs are despite surviving the illness. I have Long COVID too. Don't need sympathy or validation, I just want people to be SENSIBLE. Boris Johnson was knocked down for weeks by the virus yet his own dad still buggers around ostentatiously and repeatedly 'forgetting' that COVID is a thing. Celebrities who bang on about staying safe, but can't cope without the attention so they set up a massive validation exercise in the form of a big party where nobody takes any precautions. A week later half the attendance is floored by the virus and the narcissistic pillock is all over telly and newspapers being contrite and demanding more attention / pity by preaching what they don't practice.
The statistics are definitely being manipulated - people in the UK are being recorded as COVID related deaths despite dying in road accidents or from old age.
But that is no excuse for 9 months of totally retarded behavior by the narcissistic refuseniks and the conspiracy theorists. Lockdowns are mostly ineffective because "covidiots" insist on not just ignoring them but actively go out of their way to spread the virus. Every bugger here is fully aware that face masks are not to stop THEM getting the virus; the face masks are to reduce the impact of them spreading the virus (if it's already in their system)... And covidiots still can't be bothered wearing a mask despite already coughing their lungs up all over their friends and family. Or, they put on a mask but not over their mouth and nose, totally defeating the object of the exercise.
If it wasn't deliberately intended to spread the illness it can only be attributed to contributory negligence. If we had the American insurance model here, I wouldn't blame any insurer that refused to cover the expenses of covidiots.
The people on the left stay at home or wear masks properly, use hand sanitizers as directed, follow the medical advice instead of the Boris government politicians who are simply into kneejerk reactions... It does not guarantee their health. But covidiots tend to be on the political Right, or politically disengaged, they ignore the medical advice, and then complain when the China virus mows thru their entire social bubble and family.

The congressman=elect was reported by a doctor to have no comorbidities. He was treated with Remdesivir, thank you Dr, Fauci, and steroids. Apparently the white House did not tell him about Dr, Zelenko’s 3 part regimen, I wonder if Mark Meadows has used it since Dr, Z cced him in March at the WH.

That is a very good question! In fact, it came up on a local thread on Facebook, while reading about the surge in NYC this past week.
Why are people being sent home or are at home quarantining with NO TREATMENTS. Because symptoms are mild? Well isn’t that when you would want to start treatment? Instead they go home or are told to report to the hospital if they get worse?
We all take something “at the first sign of a cold.” Why are are not treating people at the FIRST sign of Covid, instead of the deathbed? Why have the silenced all the doctors and in some cases even basically outlawed or fired doctors for treating with Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, remdesivir,etc.
Notice in the most recent reports they talk about preventing infection. But what do we do when we’re sick with the flu or cold? Take absolutely nothing? No, we treat the symptoms. Fever, congestion, dehydration etc. from getting worse. Seriously, at this point in the pandemic is it not better to start treatment prophylactics to minimize symptoms pre-hospitalization? Working with you doctor, who knows your current medical status, letting him/her teledoc daily with you walking through your medical regime of a potentially serious viral infection?

The same can be said regarding euthanasia (NY, CT, MA, RI, OR, PA just practiced it w/sending COVID ppl in elderly care facilities), assisted suicide, infanticide, health care rationing (CA is doing this now in LA), genocide and sexual deviancy.
I see you’re from the communist sympathizing state of Massachusetts, I lived there for quite a few years and made my escape at the end of 2008. So, I understand that where you live people can become complacent and complicit with the outright evil of the Left, especially when it’s their own children participating in that evil. Coincidentally, I have five children, and three of them are also disgusting Leftists. One still in MA, one in NH and one just moved to GA, I hold some hope out for him.
By your own admittance, your three children support forcing religious persons, and all disagreeing persons for that matter, to participate in these evils by legalizing them, funding them with their taxes, and forcing them out of their workplaces and ostracizing the publicly and socially for disagreeing, and imprisoning them for fighting against these evils.
Decent people don’t participate in these evils. Pray for you children, fervently. I will pray for yours and mine, as I do for all of the hardened hearts.

When Maryland, Virginia, and DC Covid statistics are listed, DC always has the best figures, despite all the demonstrations of left and right. L have traveled in all 3 places and watched a lot of TV footage. I hate say it, but the left is a lot more likely to be wearing masks, say 90% to less than 10%, and DC has worn masks early and often compared to MD and VA.

I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who legitimately believes it’s fake, but there are plenty of us who believe it’s overblown bullshit. With a survival rate >99% in a majority of people under 65, I’ll take my chances living life free. With a public willfully ignorant on proper use of PPE, there’s no protective covering short of a military grade NBC that’s going to protect you.

In mid=summer I was very concerned people were getting careless. Late summer or early fall I predicted at FR that the figure would be 1/4 to 1/2 million dead by the end of the year, and here we are. Whether Covid is primary or secondary cause, the fact is many hospitals are being overwhelmed. am 82, always interested in health and medicine and have never seen our hospitals in such a state. Meanwhile there has been no major public effort to educate people about the value of enhancing health with supplements and good nutrition. The value of ionphores like Quercerin (OTC), HCQ and Ivermectin _(prescription) to enable the virus killer Zinc to enter infected cells has been deliberately ignored. This despite the facts that zinc deficiency afflicts 1/3 the world population, and loss of taste and smell are zinc deficiency symptoms. The first few articles have the information on prophylactic and early Covid treatment by Dr. Zelenko and others. Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is having good results with hospitalized Covid casas.
It says a cardiac event. Not a heart attack. Words mean things. Why don’t you provide a rather lengthy list of the differential diagnosis or a cardiac event. Virtually any cardiac event in a 41 yo with CoVId is because Dina Covid. I am tired of people saying there is a conspiracy when they simply don’t know what they are talking about. This guy died of CoVID at the age of 41. Period. The mechanism is death was caused by CoVID. Like Jim Nobel I have taken care of hundreds of these patients. It is annoying when people spout off gospel like statements with little understanding and then say see it wasn’t Covid. They just had the virus when they died. But it didn’t do them in
