With the plethora of therapeutics available today, how does anyone still die from COVID-19?
IU Health is going to have to answer that when they get hit with the malpractice suit over the Dr dying.
They will probably settle much faster on this one because she was black and was claiming they were racist.
Gee I don’t know. Maybe the therapeutics aren’t perfect. But I am waiting for the zillions of Freeport’s to tell us this is not a real virus and we should not even think kind vaccinating
I am watching some of our brethren on this forum twist themselves into knots. Prevention is always preferable to cure. Vaccine would have prevented this.
But let’s hear it for the scientific illiterati who will continue to deny that the vaccine will end this.
According to the articles I just read about him, he died from complications of Covid and was on remdesivir. He announced he tested positive for Covid on December 18th and was hospitalized on December 19th. He was in the ICU when he was transferred to a Shreveport hospital on December 23rd. So the virus apparently hit him hard initially and even with cutting edge treatment, he couldn’t beat the virus. Sad story.
That is a very good question! In fact, it came up on a local thread on Facebook, while reading about the surge in NYC this past week.
Why are people being sent home or are at home quarantining with NO TREATMENTS. Because symptoms are mild? Well isn’t that when you would want to start treatment? Instead they go home or are told to report to the hospital if they get worse?
We all take something “at the first sign of a cold.” Why are are not treating people at the FIRST sign of Covid, instead of the deathbed? Why have the silenced all the doctors and in some cases even basically outlawed or fired doctors for treating with Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, remdesivir, etc.
Notice in the most recent reports they talk about preventing infection. But what do we do when we’re sick with the flu or cold? Take absolutely nothing? No, we treat the symptoms. Fever, congestion, dehydration etc. from getting worse. Seriously, at this point in the pandemic is it not better to start treatment prophylactics to minimize symptoms pre-hospitalization? Working with you doctor, who knows your current medical status, letting him/her teledoc daily with you walking through your medical regime of a potentially serious viral infection?
There is a huge medical malpractice taking place all being managed by the CDC. Why are they doing this to us?
No one is talking about therapeutics. It’s like the book is closed on the subject. Doctors, the AMA, subject closed. No one is talking treatment until you are so damn sick they have to admit you to the ER.

Good question.
Therapeutics, bad, especially if the word hydroxychloroquine is in the sentence used to describe them.
You really must be an ostrich with your head in the sand if you think that therapies hold it check without except. My co-worker’s brother had excellent treatment and died of respiratory failure the day after Thanksgiving and 4 days after being diagnosed. 44 and a champion racquetball player.
