Following his conscience and voting for the challenges got Hawley on the naughty list in the same way that it got Cruz on the list. Or back on the list as the case may be. But what is going to hurt Hawley in the long run is that picture of him giving a raised fist to the demonstrators around the Capitol last Wednesday. He will always be linked to the riot and it will be dredged up at every election he runs in.

Josh has a future. Trump has a future. A mess of RINOs do not.

Hawley's my senator and I've watched him for some time. He talks a good game be he's no Trump. Not even close.

Trust no politician.

Hawley may be a stand up guy, but his pedigree is rather swamplike.
Stanford, Yale, Roberts law clerk, college instructor, public official, state DA US Senator.

A made man in many respects.

I’ll watch him closely.

He whole heartedly supported “covid relief to the world” bill.

Good points all, but I had many of the same suspicions about PDJT. Wharton may not exactly be Yale or Harvard, but it is close. A man who was a media darling once and made much of his fortune hob-knobbing with the cesspool of corruption that is New York City was not exactly someone for whom I voted enthusiastically in 2016, but I did because the alternative was so much worse.

How did that turn out? He showed us the potential of a full employment economy and a rising middle class before the Chinese virus arrived.

Trump’s popularity has gone up as well. Of course the media won’t tell you that.

Agreed. But still I trust no politician, and Hawley is one. Trump, not so much.

We need Joe the plumber and Sally the homemaker or engineer much more than a boatload of more lawyers who are career politicians.

Hopefully Hawley will an exception.

There isn't one that I've been able to see. Trump is unique. I don't think we'll ever see his like, or anything close to his like, ever again.
