Herbert Nixon Flores, a 46-year-old criminal alien with an extensive criminal history, is the prime suspect in the murder of 35-year-old Karen Ruiz in the Pacoima area, Jan. 6.

Since 1990, he had been ordered removed and physically deported from the United States 10 times. His criminal history included carrying a concealed weapon, trespassing, burglary, disturbing the peace, possession and transportation of a controlled substance, impersonation, driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, vandalism, criminal threats and illegal entry.

Reminds me of a case a few years back in Chicago. A young girl and her grandmother were going out to a fruit stand. The neighborhood gangs had been ready to rumble all day, and gunfire broke out, killing the girl. Witnesses said the shooting was ordered by a black man with a foreign accent. A cop who was interviewed on TV said, “Oh, we knew right away who he was by that description.” He was a French-speaking African who was here illegally and had been arrested 24 times before. He was arrested for the shooting. It’s a crime that he had to kill someone before they finally got him off the streets. Another triumph of the criminal justice system.

Between Pacoima and Arleta which is Next Door, most of it appears to be Tijuana, complete with Sidewalk Stores and Restaurants with Seating, right on the Sidewalk in front of Closed Restaurants
