Does the FCC, FBI, NSA, or other intel agencies have the resources to monitor RF communications? I don’t believe they are more secure than any e-mail or Web sites. In fact, anyone can pick up your over the air RF at will. Am I wrong?
If you ask nicely..maybe they won’t commit any crimes?
But, I am concerned that they are less likely to investigate a Muslim learning to fly an airplane than someone exchanging coleslaw recipes over a HAM radio. There is a lot of pressure to be PC these days.
“Do people, who are intent on committing a crime, ever get a license for anything?”
No, they’re usually the people who issue the licenses.
It’s a warning that we are now in charge and will crush you, arrest you, and put you in federal prison......
Done only for intimidation purposes.....
Same reason there is 26K troops plus 5K Law Enforcement in DC....we are in charge and have the guns...
“...the government will come for you.”
The ones who come after you for exercising your liberties deserve whatever happens to them.
Indeed!
So, Ms. Enforcer Karen at our FCC (previously a journalist, then a lawyer = femi-leftist) is trying to scare us off of 2-way radios, after her ilk has fomented CWII.
I imagine radio sales and license applications have skyrocketed over the last couple years, paralleling gun and ammo sales.
Government leftists are scared. As they should be.
Nellie Ohr, please pick up the white courtesy phone....
They accuse others of what they themselves do. Some in the Deep State used Ham radio when they attempted to frame Trump for the Russian collusion BS. From what I understand HAM signal is not readily collected by NSA. If I remember correctly there was a story here on FR about some Deep Staters getting their HAM licenses.

I may be wrong, but I believe the majority of HAM operators are prior service. Last I knew the Oath of Enlistment had no expiration date and while many are too old to serve anymore we can still operate the tools of the trade and generally have much shorter fuses and a bad attitude about communism, socilaism, facism, etc.
Balderdash! I'll bet every dollar I have at least a hundred thousand are committing thoughts crimes right this very moment.
Can anyone give a suggestion for a good, reasonably-priced shortwave radio?
Is it better to get a CB radio instead?
(For listening to non-government, non-MSM programs.)
From reading on previous threads, I understand there are not as many programs to listen to like there used to be in the 1980’s and ‘90’s. But I might go ahead and buy one anyway.

Everyone better be careful what you say, no matter where you say it. Say the wrong thing, the government will come for you.

I sure the communications to states and poll workers to stop counting on the 4th were recorded. There is a lot of planning and activity that went on but we”ll never know. Scary and worrisome.
I thought it was extremely unusual for this chick to get involved in Ham radios at her age in life........and you would be hard pressed to convince me she isn't involved in Russian espionage of some sort......
>The ones who come after you for exercising your liberties deserve whatever happens to them.<
They are moving you to the top of the list for a visit after that post.
