When the heads finally roll, can we use the wind turbines to sever them?

Who in their right mind (but I think I just answered my own question) would think it makes sense to replace a few huge ground-based turbines with hundreds or thousands of small ones, perched 150 or 200 feet in the air? Conventional power plants take advantage of economies of scale to generate electricity efficiently and affordable, while wind farms ignore efficiency and cost-effectiveness in favor of built-in inefficiency. A conventional power plant also has far fewer moving parts to maintain and replace than a wind farm with thousands upon thousand of duplicate parts. And all of those parts in the conventional plant are on the ground, where they’re easily accessible. Obviously not so with a wind farm. They’re all perched high in the air, making it difficult and expensive to service them.
I think of a conventional power plant like the engine in your car. Would any sane person propose to replace that engine with hundreds of tiny model car engines? Of course not. And even that absurd scenario would be less ridiculous than the use of wind power, because at least it would be easy to access the model car engines to maintain them.

The size of those turbine bladesI never gave much thought to how big those things are until I passed one on a freeway that was being hauled by a semi........Huge!

The biggest flaw of wind power is the same flaw you see in most “renewable” energy sources:
You can’t store it cost-effectively. In a fossil fuel, the energy is ALREADY stored. It sits in your car’s gasoline tank or in a pile of coal at a power plant, and you use it when you need it. It has a long “shelf life” before it becomes unusable, too.
Creating storage capacity for wind and solar power is enormously expensive, and diminishes the value of these power sources even from an environmental standpoint. Think of how large the carbon footprint of a massive battery must be.

Where do these f*cking idiots think we are going to get the electricity for all these “zero emissions” electric cars.
Oh, just ask AOC, she knows. “It comes from the wall, silly.”

This isn’t about clean energy....it’s about the massive investors in companies that the elites are highly invested in across the board in the US and on the world stage....... And those invested in sucking huge amounts of taxpayer money from brain washed government officials who still believe AOC and Greta Thunberg
are smarter than the many thousands of engineer and economists who know "clean energy" is just another hoax to separate taxpayers from their money.

I knew “clean energy” was a farce when I was working on a real estate project in upstate New York and I was facing an interesting dilemma. The cost of raw land was being driven up by all the investors buying up farms to build large solar panel fields.
This was in an area of western New York that sees fewer sunny days in a typical year than Portland or Seattle.

Landfills don’t want them. They are too big and can’t easily be shredded.

A normal semi gets about 5mpg. These super monsters probably get 2 mpg.
Of fossil fuel. A EV semi would probably get 1/2 a mile before needing a recharge after getting a push start by a diesel tractor

I know. Our energy bills will be the same as our mortgage/rent.
Sounds to me more like the decision I had to make throughout my home buying life regarding wants and needs. I could afford a certain size, house, garage, lot, and tax load. Utilities were related and needed to be factored into the equation.
I suggest your scenario, will decide I can afford one or the other. That is I can afford utilities or a home. So then it boils down to options. What will be the options when they have priced everyone out of heat, air conditioning, electricity and water. Garbage is not allowed.
Will the ruling powers be willing to provide a camp, or a gulag? Or is soylent green our destiny, in the name of population control, so the elite can eat.

Wind and solar power work great for sailboats and clotheslines.

That’s very good. As an old sailor and user of clothes lines to dry wash, may I use this?
