In the wake of the Kennedy assassination President Johnson asked Earl Warren to investigate the affair and render a report. Earl Warren, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, was a man with whom many disagreed concerning his judicial writs but on the whole he was a man widely respected for integrity across the country. The report he rendered was voluminous and clear in its verdict: the assassin acted alone.

Nevertheless, conspiracy theories concerning who assassinated John Kennedy abound to this very day. Whether the Warren report was complete and accurate is not my point. At the time it appeared to be complete and accurate. Yet the conspiracy theories contradicting the report have never stopped.

The conspiracy theories concerning Trump's alleged collaboration with Russia in the so-called Russiagate affair persist to this day despite the fact that the Muller report fully exonerated Trump.

One can only imagine the breadth and depth of the belief across the country that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump in the absence of any transparent official investigation and report concerning the truth of the matter. The belief that the election was stolen will persist for decades-and rightly so. We have no transparent official investigation and report, to the contrary we hear that any individual who calls for investigation, such as senators Cruz and Hawley, should be punished. Those who publicly question the honesty of the election are labeled domestic terrorists. Rather than transparency we get tyranny.

All this in the wake of the callow abdication by the courts and virtually every other institution such as state legislatures and the federal legislature to transparently investigate the legitimacy of the election.

If the Warren report could not put an end to theories of conspiracy concerning the Kennedy assassination, it did at least permit us to carry on as a country. Today, we will have no Warren report, no Muller report, and no commonly accepted truth upon which to consent to be governed.

This is an open sore that will never be healed under these circumstances. The brazenness of the fraud together with the cynical reaction of people like Kasich and Senator Duckworth tell us that there will never be a healing.

We have a cancer on the Republic that festers and grows until it could destroys us. A constitutional republic requires the general assent of the public to the proposition that things are fair. Our government is currently illegitimate because it has lost the confidence of nearly half the nation. Our people are disillusioned and rightly so, witness the current short squeeze scandal on Wall Street illustrating that the cynicism and disillusionment is now open and notorious and it extends to all our institutions.

The temptation to draw historical parallels to the fall of great civilizations is difficult to resist. The disintegration comes from within.

The terrifying reality is that a good portion of the Democrat party that is causing this rupture of confidence is indifferent to the prospect that the country will disintegrate. Many of the left are simply venal but many others would welcome the chaos to come so that they might seize power utterly unimpeded by constitutional restraint.

Excellent summary. However, the question remains on the table, “Why?”

With your background you have been taught somewhere years ago that in trial work, a lawyer will not ask a question of a witness if the lawyer does not already know the answer. Trump was accused of many things in the past 4+ years. He called them out as fake, fraud, lies. His accusers doubled down, that he had no proof! When it turned out he was proven right (e.g. spying on his campaign) his accusers moved on to some other falsehood without political or legal penalty. At the end of his term, Trump became the accuser - the election was rigged and a fraud. Again, the newly accused said he had no proof, would not allow evidence to be brought forth, censored him through big tech and media, and ran out the clock.

The reason there will be no Warren Commission on 2020 election fraud is that the entrenched political class and their fraudsters (1) are back in complete power and (2) they cannot win or even come to a draw if an investigation is carried out. They lose no matter what. They know the answer to the question - they need to make sure the people must not know the answer.

Every one knows there was widespread rigging and fraud. The question is how much? If it does not change the final results, aggregated it will be expose and destroy the fraudsters, lead to election reforms and a subsequent power shift in DC that will last for years.

But what if it turns out to be true, that Trump is right again he was elected and Buyden was (s)elected by millions of fraudulent votes over many states that certified under law as true? What does the country do now with an illegitimate, (s)elected POTUS many months after Jan 20, 2021? There is no Constitutional remedy. The damage to this country will be catastrophic beyond what you or I are able to contemplate at this time, and it will involve a political, societal and financial collapse of global proportions.

So pick your country’s poison. (1) Deny any and all investigation of the rigging and fraud, and the country slowly dies (with pensions and welfare payments still intact for now), with faint chance that fraud to this degree won’t happen again anytime soon, or (2) do the investigation knowing that the findings will alter this country’s political and economic landscapes either significantly or catastrophically for decades to come.

The Machiavellian reality is this - the entrenched powers are not going to go fight to prove Trump wrong, because they know he isn’t wrong. And those who are “clean” in the GOP are not going to fight for a man now a political pariah inside DC. They know on all the other matters that were used to obstruct and harm him in the past - Trump was proven right and his track record ... chances are he will be right again. The political order will continue to work to re-establish and protect itself, to keep control and ensure some stability, knowing that time is on their side right now. Power is fleeting.
