Carson emphasized his Christian faith in the announcement
Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson announced Wednesday that he is launching a conservative think tank to "engage with local governments and work with communities to find solutions to our nation's problems."
"The American Cornerstone Institute will be dedicated to creating dialogue and smart discourse," Carson said in a RealClearPolitics op-ed announcing his project. "ACI will focus on promoting and preserving individual and religious liberty, helping our country's most vulnerable find new hope, and developing methods to maximize government's efficiency and effectiveness to best serve all our nation's citizens."

More dialogue and so-called “smart” discourse mean nothing without resolve to do things, some of which are going to require a great deal of determination, personal sacrifice and effort. Talk is cheap and usually accomplishes nothing.
Ben Carson is brilliant. Amazing talent of putting together a team and coordinating them through a maze of bad outcomes to attain the best result. He knows the inevitable result of socialist policies and has lived the consequences of the welfare state. If anybody can navigate a way out this mess, he can.

He’s about 6 months away from turning 70. I think he deserves to decide for himself what he wants to do at this point in his life.

There ‘s no need to study things to death. Right and wrong are pretty obvious to most sensible people.
The think tanks (and their well paid intellectuals) have lots of high minded words to pass down from the mount but little in the way of concrete plans to achieve much of anything. Just palliative words from people who don’t like getting their hands dirty, which is the only way to realize your objectives. Just ask the Democrats.

Ben Carson was one of DJT most loyal and best appointments. I’m not sure what a think can do at this point, but good luck to him.
Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper (not to mention vastly better) just to come on over to Freerepublic?
Where do these ‘think tanks’ get their money?
They will think of something im sure to keep them funded
