French officials, intellectuals, and journalists are warning that progressive American ideas are contaminating their society.
They specifically cite progressive ideas on race, gender, and post-colonialism as undermining their way of life, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
French President Emmanuel Macron defines the threat as "Certain social science theories entirely imported from the United States."

The French have committed cultural suicide over the past fifty years. They are devoid of purpose and meaning. Vapid people are always suceptible to bad ideas wherever they originate.

Actually that’s general view of everywhere in Europe.
It is sad, but under Bidet and the Femme Horizontale, US is becoming the most liberal Western Country.
It used to be, US was the most conservative county and conservatives in Europe looked to US for inspiration. Noe it is turning around. Europeans are trying to stop the oligarchs and the critical race theories.
Woke-ism is mostly French in its origins. Foucault especially. Who was it that said “all bad ideas originate in France.”
This is the second article I have seen on the subject. If you learn French they will love you because they are proud of their culture and welcome those who at least try to fit in. I know, I’ve been there and spoke French, even though I am from the middle of nowhere in the USA. For the French, and much of the world, it is less about being socialist, conservative, monarchist, etc. than being for, rather than hating, the country. Here it is inverted, so yes American is exceptional in that sense.
It’s bad when the French think you have gone to far.
