Georgia Prosecutors Open Criminal Investigation of Trump Phone Call

ATLANTA — Prosecutors in Fulton County have initiated a criminal investigation into former President Donald J. Trump’s attempts to overturn Georgia’s election results, including a phone call he made to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Mr. Trump pressured him to “find” enough votes to help him reverse his loss.

On Wednesday, Fani Willis, the recently elected Democratic prosecutor in Fulton County, sent a letter to numerous officials in state government, including Mr. Raffensperger, requesting that they preserve documents related to “an investigation into attempts to influence the administration of the 2020 Georgia General Election.”

While the letter does not mention Mr. Trump by name, it is related to his intervention in the Georgia election, according to a state official with knowledge of the matter.

“This investigation includes, but is not limited to, potential violations of Georgia law prohibiting the solicitation of election fraud, the making of false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election’s administration,” the letter states.

In addition to Mr. Raffensperger, the letter was sent to some of the state’s other top Republican officeholders: Governor Brian Kemp, Lieutenant Gov. Geoff Duncan, and Attorney General Chris Carr.

Kemp wants to blame this on Democrats but he could end this simply by pardoning DJT.

I used to love this state.

Now it’s all swampy and voter-fraudy.

I’ll probably move in a year or so.

Not sure how he can be prosecuted by yocals, considering that he was still president at the time.

of Georgia law prohibiting the solicitation of election fraud

But wasn’t Trump trying to acquire votes by ELIMINATING FRAUDULENT VOTES? How is this case gonna hold water?

No need for Kemp to pardon President Trump. Presidents are out of reach of state prosecutors while in office and that immunity survives their transition from office.

Good. Lets talk about wiretaping laws and releasing confidential calls recorded without the other parties knowledge! You can’t even do that calling into tech support. Counter sue.

Atlanta is a hellhole.

Yup, and the crime is climbing up to the wealthy and upscale Buckhead neighborhood. I hear of many more robberies and murders.

Buckhead has a cluster of impressive downtown-like skyscrapers, so it will be difficult for the upscales to move out.... but move out they must.

Lenox Mall went totally 'tribal' and that's at the heart of Buckhead. The rest of the region will fall in 5-10 years.

They will all push forward now to do what ever they can to him. I have never seen a President treated like this. Ever. He was a unwelcome non politician that came in and did for us and the USA not them. They don’t like that we elected a President not approved by other politicians. Trump scares them. I pray that GOD has his hand on this.

A warning to any outsider who is considering running for political office.

The anti-American marxists will target you, your family, your business, and your associates.

Sure it does. The Congress will just pass some sort of legislation that will all this even if it is ex-post facto. There are no rules for the ruling class.

Fulton County is not equal to Georgia.
Fulton County is the center of ballot fraud, corruption, intimidation and terrorism.
They should be charged before court. for a whole litany of crimes.

Who called the Georgia Election officials on election night and coordinated the timed shutdown?

No way 4 states all arrived at the idea independently and locally (rogue agents just responding to what they saw other states “doing”).

Criminalize a phone call? Where have we heard that before?

The third world “prosecutor” Fani Willis is another Kum-Allah. BS charges argued by sub room temperature IQ affirmative action “lawyers”.

The real charges should be against her, Stacey Abrams and the army of Ruby Freeman’s they employed to steal the election in Georgia not once but twice.

Trump wanted him to “find” and throw out the illegal votes. He wanted every legal vote counted.
