I will confess.
I have never been a huge pro-life activist. I have never donated to pro-life causes. I have never been to a pro-life march. Yes, I have always been pro-life but never understood not only the importance of the issue in and of itself, but how the position one takes – or society takes – will determine your position on almost everything else.
That has changed, and while I am late to the movement, it is better late than never.

I have found out that if a candidate, if a politician is not correct on the issue of abortion, then they are basically useless. They may be hard-core conservatives on other issues but overall they will not be effective as a conservative

Yes, I feel like I’m realizing this anew just now.
Definitely, if you can’t acknowledge that a living, beating heart is another human being, than you should not be trusted on any other issue. Period.
I know women who say they only vote on the abortion issue, i.e., preserving it. It strikes me as horrific for a woman to go through life focused on baby killing and nothing else.
Without the right to life, no other rights matter.
I don’t think it determines everything else. But it is certainly one of the most important issues.
If you believe scriptures, life is sacred.
If you read the scriptures the way I do, life begins at the moment of conception. Not at birth not 1/3 or 2/3 of the way there. And certainly not when dependency on the mother ends at age 16 to 25.
So if you care about human life, then abortion is a huge issue.
It doesn’t have a whole lot to do with trade policy, or immigration, or taxes. But it’s huge.
Only if God is an issue that determines your eternal destiny. He is.
It used to be. Election integrity tops it. If that is not fixed, nothing else will get fixed.
Abortion is my #1 issue. Yes, I donate to pro-life causes especially locally. I’ve donated to women’s shelters, I’ve donated to a local foundation that helps unwed mothers through the birth and adoption process if that’s the route they choose, or help them safely keep the child themselves through menotiring/training, assistance, etc.
It stands to reason. If you don’t care about the child in the womb being rubbed out then you’re not gonna give a crap about people in general. That’s the Democrat Party today. They only care about power, the gaining and retention of it at whatever cost.
Pro-life is a litmus test for citizens of a free Republic. A legitimate one at that.
True. And I’ve noticed party affiliation isn’t as important either. There are a handful of pro-life Democrats who seem to be very effective. Louisiana, a Red State for instance, has a two term pro-life governor now, if you can believe it. And while he has been threatened with recalls, he has so far managed to weather the controversies.
Why is the number of people on this planet so concerning to the Democrats?
There are too many people on THEIR beaches and roads.

She was perfect!....with a slightly weakened eye that she has more than compensated for!
She is now 2 years away from college and one of the smartest kids in her high performing school!
She also plays cello in the symphony orchestra.
She is a delightful, respectful, adorable young lady

Mine too. I feel very strongly abortion was America’s poison pill, if you will, and we’re beginning to feel its mortal effect. We had once last chance to end the state sanctioned murder of innocents with the election of DJT as our President, and we blew it, IMO. The prophecies in the Bible are looking nearer, everyday now.

but it is true that the closer you are to God, the more you will value the Life He creates.
