We finally have water, but power is still up and down like a yo-yo. I’m so upset with our city council... people wouldn’t believe the S#$! Show that’s gone on for the past 24hrs. The story behind the curtain, even at local levels, has everyone pissed! Citizens are out for blood over this crap, it’s a long story, filled with deception, ill-preparedness and slaps to the face, it’s truly sickening!

Temple Texas is a mess on the west side of 317.
I was prepared for this... food, water and power. But many weren’t and the responses from our public officials was down right idiotic... They were “recommending” plumbers to fix our water pipes after it gets above freezing?, had no fail over generators in place for water substations and didn’t have an adequate supply of diesel for existing emergency responder gen-sets! Wasn’t until the citizens racked them over the coals that they ten tried to procure generators...from Houston of all places!
The list goes on and on, they didn’t even provide any status updates until people on the “Next Door” app started to really lay into them. Even then, no apologies, nothing... they knew this wasn’t going to bode well for them. Such a boondoggle.
