What is he going to do? He’s not the governor or a local official and I doubt pedaling a bicycle to generate power would do much. There’s a lot to criticize politicians over but I do t see this as one of them
We woke up to electricity for the first time in 4 days . My only complaint about Cruz is he chose Cancun over Cozumel .

This. Unless its a federal emergency that requires legislation, there’s nothing he can do. This is a state and local government matter, and the MSM is grasping at straws looking for things to smear him with.

Agree, nothing that he could do. Northam the Virginia Governor was going to the outer banks after he gave lockdown orders.
Agree with you entirely. There seems to be a lot of ignornace on FR anymore. Either that or we’ve been overrun by trolls.
That’s a simple minded point of view. When a disaster hits your state, a government caused disaster, as a Senator from that state you don’t fly away to a sunny beach vacation.
For one thing, he should be shining the light on green energy since they are about to pass the green new deal. Go stand in front of a broken windmill. Be ready to fight back hard with what you “learned”.
Has he shined any light on Biden’s failure to declare a disaster area?
Hell, he could go down to a warming center and serve food. You know, show he cares?
Leaders are to lead-set an example.
This was just another poor example by a leader.
He can volunteer to help with the humanitarian crisis, coordinate supporters and staff to connect constituents to churches and charities, all kinds of things. People are freezing to death
When California catches fire or has an earthquake I can’t remember once caring if Feinstein, Boxer, Kamala Harris, or Alex Padilla stuck around to watch. Senators just get in the way, they haven’t got any say in running their home state government.
It seems like all of Twitter and half of Freeperdom have no idea how government works.
