I have never understood where in the US Constitution it says government can define the terms and conditions of a labor contract.

Where is it defined that a government, state, local, federal, can dictate the terms of financial compensation to an individual?

I am seriously asking...is this settled Constitutional law??
Is there case history where this has been defined by the Supreme Court?

Falls under Article I, Section 8 that says Congress will have the power to "regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes".

Only American workers with valid Social Security numbers would be eligible, meaning non-U.S. citizens and illegal aliens would be excluded.

Wow. Nothing like passing a strong incentive for employers to hire non-citizens.

Don’t we already have this? Isn’t it called the “Earned Income Tax Credit”?

Just what we need; add more crap to the annual tax return. Any "Truth In Taxation Act" needs to include the idea that the purpose of any tax is fund government spending. Using the 1040 to fund more unworkable charity programs is another way to complicate a process and make it unworkable.

Wait until the woken who filed their taxes already find out that their refunds are being delayed until mid-March if certain refundable credit are involved.

I’m disappointed. Thought he had more substance. Looks like DeSantis is is the only viable option for 2024.

Of course if Trump brings Flynn on as VP when he retakes office this year Flynn might turn out to be a contender.

Thanks...seems a stretch!

It's the same clause that allows them the establish a 40 hour work week, workplace safety requirements, pure food and drug laws, and so forth.
