By contrast a secular Muslim like Saddam Hussein wasn’t into radical Islam. He’d give it lip service on occasion but that’s all. He had Christian Iraqis in his cabinet.
Saudi Wahhabism is intolerant and sponsors trouble but nothing like what Iran has been into since 1979. And the current Prince is attempting to drag Saudi Arabia away from Wahhabism and into the modern age. The Middle East is a complicated region. Only fools like Bush the Younger would think it can be turned into Western liberal democracies.
