DeceptiCon Dealing, DOJ Declined to Take Up Chao Ethics Probe After Meetings With McConnell, Which Led to Chao Departing To Assist Insurgency Narrative

I’m not saying Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao resigned after the January 6 Capitol Hill riot just because she owed the DC team a favor following the post-election meeting between her husband, Mitch McConnell, and Attorney General Bill Barr; who just happened to *not* take up the ethics probe of Chao following the same meeting (noted below left), but….. It sure does look sketchy.

Let me explain… HatTip Ziiggii and Ben.

Today The Hill is reporting on an internal DC investigation into Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao for ethics issues while she was in office. [READ HERE]

The Department of Justice declined to take up an ethics probe into former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, according to watchdog report released Wednesday by House committee leaders. (read more)

At first blush this rather obtuse article seems like no big deal. However, when you overlay the post election meetings between AG Bill Barr and then Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, one has to wonder if the dropping of this investigation was not part of the meeting that also never had a purposeful explanation.

In hindsight the appearance of some sketchy quid-pro-quo then takes on another level of sketch when we remind ourselves what Elaine Chao did to support the Deep State “insurrection” narrative after January 6, 2021.

January 7, 2021 – Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao is resigning effective Monday, becoming the highest ranking member of President Donald Trump’s administration to resign in protest after the pro-Trump insurrection at Capitol.

In a statement Thursday, Chao, who is married to Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell, said the violent attack on the Capitol “has deeply troubled me in a way that I simply cannot set aside.” (link)

Did Elaine Chao return a favor to the deep state following the DOJ’s generous lack of investigation?

You decide.

Swamp scumbags. As someone else here said, Trump couldn’t drain the swamp, but he lowered the water level enough that we could see all of the creatures sticking up.

There’s a lot of swamp in that photo.

Look at that photo. McConnell was thrown out of the Army after 6 weeks for being a homo, his wife is connected to the Chinese communist party. Barr is CIA and DOJ for life, raised by a dad that gave Epstein his start as a teacher, despite no teaching experience or credentials. And wrote this book. It’s basically DC and Epstein Island in space.

In old America, yes. But he is clearly part of the junta that rules DC now. His role is to keep the GOP in line as an establishment party. But he is every bit as involved in the steal and bribery as a way of life as anyone else.
Spent his life in government, worth 22 million.

I’d be pleased if McConnell were to simply resign his minority leadership, since KY Gov. Beshear , iirc, is a D and could tip the tottering 50-50 balance.

Who would replace him as leader ? Blount, Thune, Barrasso ?

Ernst, Rick Scott, Mike Lee, Crapo, Grassley are those in Leadership

Mitch did well with judicial appointments, but that job is done for a while.

At this point I don’t care if every Republican Senator goes away, time to blow up the team.

“Mitch did well with judicial appointments, but that job is done for a while.”

Like Kavenaugh? Like Amy Conehead Barrett? I see no evidence for any of McConnells judges doing conservatives the slightest amount of good. At all levels they rule in favor of DC.

Mitch did not appoint anyone, he just fulfilled DjT’s wishes.

That aside, there’s chatter he’s making a move to retire, if he can beat the D KY Gov’s power to appoint a replacement, so he’s not gone totally to the dark side.

I’ll be very happy to see him go. I suspect he and Mrs fear the guillotine is about to drop....they’re steeped in deep state sewage.

He was also pretty good at using senate rules to beat the Ds. We’re seeing that now against HR 1.

No, he did not just fill President Trump’s wishes. He gave him severe limits on who he could not fire, or he would face immediate impeachment. He let the Russia scam continue. He let the fake impeachment (1st one) continue despite -certain- knowledge that the Biden family was a crime family operation in Ukraine and China and that Trump was correct to investigate Biden’s bribery.
And Trump was given McConnell approved federalist society lists for judge positions.

It’s very disingenuous to say he fulfilled Trump’s wishes. The proof of that is that Mitch never allowed to go into recess the entire Trump presidency precisely to prevent him from making any recess appointments. That is him going out of his way to deliberately prevent DJT’s wishes.
