OMG - LOL!
Back in the 40’s & 50’s we already had the wop drive...
Right on!
Show me the hardware.
BTW - the transistor was described (and a patent issued) several years before the first working device was built by the old Bell Labs.
Something I’ve never understood. When going warp 7, how do you avoid running into a star?

It’s against the law to have a Warp 7 velocity in Hollywood.
Zephram Cochran had no comment (though he may just be drunk again)...

Gave me goosebumps. Been there, done that.
YOU are extremely fortunate. I have gone no faster than about 500 mph.
I cannae get her up to warp 7 captain.
Even at 7 times the speed of light, it would take 14,285 years to travel from one end of our own galaxy to the other. The Milky Way is estimated at 100,000 light years from end to end. The nearest large galaxy to our own is Andromeda, at roughly 2.2 million light years distant.
Aren’t warp levels in ST lingo an exponential scale, scaled to speed of light - c not a linear scale. Warp 1 - c, speed of light; Warp 2 - c*c ; Warp 3 - c*c*c, Warp 4 c*c*c*c, etc.
I don’t think so. Because Mach 2 means 2 times the speed of sound. Not the speed of sound times itself. I assume “warp” works in the same way. The speed of light times itself is an insanely large number and speed.
e=mc^2
You may be right. I thought I had read that in one of those SciFi “Star Trek Tech manuals”.
YOU tell me what it means!
I'm completely clueless now. Lol!

Yikes !
Some Trekkies have way too much time on their hands !
The engines canna take much more, Captain!
