There was a time when this would have made me angry. But since I no longer care about the Redskins nor the NFL anymore I couldn’t care less...
One of my gripes about TV football is that during halftime we, the viewers, are forced to listen to the commentators in the announcers booth rather than watch the halftime programs, including the bands and cheerleaders. I always tune out the halftime booth garbage.

Yes it is but not as bad as giving up their name.

Otherwise, don't care if you were a pom-pom girl. Maybe they can afford a better QB now...and Jacoby Brissett ain't it LOFL...
I remember when they were called the Redskinettes. I don’t remember when they changed it to first ladies of football.

There is a huge interest in cheer leading, and tremendous competition between girls and their parents for it. So to me this says that if a privately hosted cheer leading competition is run concurrently with games, it will have a strong draw from the public.
Very few novel rules: no use of team logos, but using their colors is fine.
Since marching bands are falling out of favor as well, no reason to not include them with the cheer leading.
