I would be happy with the permanent installment of Mark Steyn as Rush’s replacement
I think they are doing just fine. If you stuck it out, you would have heard Rush snippets on point for what is going on.
I agree. Dennis Prager is on between 12 and 3 EST. But I think that Todd Herman and Jason Lewis would be worthy successors to the great Rush.
Past Time.
"You WILL NOT rule this country by name calling and intimidation!"
"You WILL NOT rule by destroying the Constitution and the fabric of America!"
I’ve only listened a couple times since Rush passed. We need updates on current things. This wake has been way too long.
Is this another one of those threads where conservatives beat each other up while the Demos all pull together?
I agree 100%. I started listening to Rush at the tail end of his Sacramento days in 1988, and I never stopped listening. But the Rush Limbaugh program was, at its core, a “current events” show. It was about hearing Rush’s take on the issues of the day (THAT day), as well as listening to the thoughts of guests and callers. Out of force of habit, I still turn on the show when I’m in the car, but, frankly, the show I hear now isn’t one that I think Rush would be terribly proud of. Don’t get me wrong. The owners of the show face an extremely difficult job. How do you continue a Rush Limbaugh show without Rush? I don’t know the answer to that, but on a long-term basis, you can’t run a show the way they’re running it. The audience loved Rush, but sooner rather than later most of the audience will tire of the old clips. I’ve said it before, but I think that the show should have brought on President Trump for a month long guest-hosting gig. You can bet your bottom dollar that Trump would steer the conversation back to the present, talking about everything the Dems are doing to destroy the country.
Tony Snow (RIP) was the best guest host ever.
Huge void right now.
Listened long b4 TV
I think they are sending out feelers to get the pulse to see where to go. Just my 2 cents.
I don’t listen these past 2 weeks because I have heard all the clps 1st hand.
I check in hear a host play Rush and move on
Nobody could ever replace Rush, and if they try to install that prattling Canadian then count me out.
I love how some people presume to speak (and feel, apparently) for others. I'm not wallowing, Leann. I'm enjoying the clips from the past.
I think Steven Crowder would be really good, he’s also got a theater background, which really adds to the presentation, and when he teams up with Dave Landau, it’s even better.
Cut it to 90 minutes with Mark Steyn and livestream it, or shut it down.
Yeah this was iind or poor planing on Rush’s show. I mean finding a replacement for him is next to impossible, but the fill ins although are good, are not great. Rush IMO should have groomed Mr. Snerdly -James Golden to take over. Now not only has Rush died, but his show will probably go as well. One person I think could take the reigns might be James Woods. Very intelligent, funny and hates libs as much or more than Rush did. Worth a shot.
What about Andrew Wilkow? He’s been on Sirius radio at the same time as Rush’s show anyway... Which was probably a tough gig. Contractually Rush was not able to go on Sirius radio at that time, And going up against Rush was some seriously tough competition, But he did a pretty darn good job and might get some of the audience.
