Sure He can the federal government is the one who is paying for the vaccines, the feds are the ones who are distributing it and they are the ones who are on contract with the makers to produce it they absolutely will and ARE dictating how it’s distributed. The military is actively participating in the distribution it’s 100% a Federal operation you know operation warp speed that didn’t change with the change of administration.

I think that was already the plan. Take VA for example. The Governor there said that he wanted all residents vaccinated bu mid to late summer (but revised the plan a bit). It still seems to be in line with what Joe said.

That takes an act of Congress, and that has been done too many times (55 mph speed limit in the 70’s, uniform 21 drinking age, etc) but it cannot be done merely by E.O.

The Fed controls the distribution of a state doesn’t comply with the feds guidance they could just stop the distribution to that state since no state is under contract with the major manufacturers they have zero supply themselves. No state is going to risk being cut off of the most desired product on the planet right now the people would root and dispose the leaders. The antivax loons might say they don’t want it but the vast majority of people are clamoring for the vax and are desperate to get it. In my County they put up 25,000 doses via email to the 700,000 who are on the waiting list and those spots are filled in under ten minutes then it’s wait another week to get the email invite off the wait list.

States should make sure people 60 and over can get the vaccines first.
Most likely, people 60 and over will have the chance to get the vaccine by May 1st.

You are wrong very wrong. The feds have the contracts Trump saw to that with warp speed. The feds have the only sources of the approved vaccines period full stop they are distributing it to the states the states take the doses they are sent from the feds that’s how warp speed works. Did you even listen to Trump before he left office he laid it all out that the feds would handle the logistics and the military would be on point for it that’s exaclty what is happening. The largest site in Dallas is the FEMA site why because they have the benfit of triple supply they are getting Pfizer, Moderna and JnJ. The federal plan is all Trump and it’s working great the flip side is the states have no direct supply they are not paying for it nor have contracts to do so.

I watched most of the speech. It felt so forced, scripted and rehearsed.
It was all over the place with it’s bad, it’s gonna get better, it could get worse, etc. Then told us if his plan fails, which it won’t, he will admit it then proceeded to give himself about a dozen ways it could fail he could blame on someone else.

The CDC has already said that it is NOT a true vaccine.
It is a prophylaxis.
