There are Democrat voters who claimed that they believed that Bill Clinton had never lied in his life until he came clean and admitted that he lied about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
Meanwhile Republican voters knew he lied his way all through the 1992 campaign and throughout his first term.

I can’t see how common sense translates to “emotional intelligence”. That might be what they mean, but the phrase just doesn’t make any sense

One must dive into the actual study’s methodology, data, and conclusion.
(I admit I’m not doing diving anymore into THIS study tonight. I’ve seen enough to know it’s likely bull. But it’s also late.)
Great study and article except for the lack of clarity (”emotional intelligence”). Appeals to those who lack analytical, logical thought are becoming too common. It looks like an epidemic in Internet media and responses.
Insanity is too often on display from both the right and left in media now.
I haven’t looked at the research report at all, by the way. Just assuming that the article about it is generally complete in its description.

Whoever thought the Ivy League schools were teaching anyone how to use logic to determine truth or falsehood about anything? I haven’t met a single Ivy League graduate who could use logic half as well as a graduate of TEXAS A&M...of course, that could all be changed since I was associated with that school. I hope not. There are too few of us in the USA.
