A tragic loss. I love Texas Roadhouse.

But this headline is a damned train wreck. COVID did not cause his suicide. He’s likely been battling demons for a LONG time, and the COVID LOCKDOWNS likely contributed to his demise.

"including tinnitus"

If COVID caused the tinnitus, it indeed could have driven the suicide.

This is well documented in the Audiology profession.

Tinnitus leads to suicide?!

You’re right, there were undoubtedly other serious issues here. Let’s start with the lockdowns and the effects on his business. It’s not rocket science.

You just want to believe the lockdowns are the cause because it suits your political narrative.

They only mention tinnitus and not any other "severe" post-covid symptoms he may have had. Some people do not come out of covid the same, and experience issues months later.

It’s pretty clear from the article that he had a bad case of Covid and was dealing with the results of this... anyone dealing with chronic illness doesn’t need to have “other demons” to end up committing suicide.

Like it or not Covid is real, and a bad case is not a joke, nor are the long term health issues you can deal with from it.

Besmirching this man, just because you have a political axe to grind it shameful.

....” I love Texas Roadhouse”...

When family visits that’s where they want to go. Great food and reasonable prices.

Very sad he couldn’t endure his suffering.

As far as I’m concerned, we live in a post-apocalypse world. If I didn’t have the Lord I would be depressed beyond belief. But because I have the Lord the opposite is true.

My brother in law went from a fairly healthy 78 yr old guy working at Lowes 4 days a week to a nursing home resident who can’t walk and is incontinent. From COVID. I don’t think he was too depressed before that but he sure is now.

Your probably right on that, he was severely depressed. I want to know what treatment he got for Covid, or did he get anything?

We'll probably never know the reasons..... But COVID may have been a contributor.

A growing body of research suggests that COVID-19 trigger tinnitus or
worsen pre-existing cases.

study from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England, found that
percent of 3,100 participants from 48 countries experienced a worsening
their existing tinnitus after contracting COVID-19.
