I guess then it depends on one’s viewpoint: Is it worth destroying women’s sports to allow continued participation in men’s sports.
Evidently the Governor thinks so, but it would be interesting to hear from the coeds on this one.

I agree, I put it right up there with Cruz flying to Cancun. In both cases, an UNFORCED error.
If you have kids in public schools then you’ve already surrendered your liberty to Caesar. Public school sports shouldn’t even be among the top 10,000 issues of concern for any right-minded conservative, in my humble opinion.
Legislation like this is difficult to get through any legislature, and this bill could have been a template for the rest of the country. Her pathetic statement that lawyers tell her it might lose in court is weak and meaningless. This bill is solid, but it wouldn't matter if it did lose in court. Laws like this is how we advance our cause against the forces of cultural revolution that are destroying our families and our nation. She should have signed this bill and then worked to improve it later.
Kristi Noem has never been a true conservative when it mattered, and now everyone can see her for the political hack she really is. In this case, she is clearly putting the interests of her corporate donors over the girls and young women of South Dakota. Given her con-job of a press conference today, I wouldn't vote for her for a city school board. There is no way I will ever trust her with my vote for a higher office.

Well, it’s not possible until you have an ability to change EVERY CELL IN YOUR BODY. Ain’t happenin’!
The Chamber of Commerce plus the NCAA are demanding their mindless (of man, woman, sexes) “inclusivity” that allegedly benefits trans-gender-ism.
A second, college level bill from the South Dakota legislature, could tackle that problem.
Something that holds harmless, college athletes who choose for a certain event, to excercise their right to:
- not participate for that event in which they would compete against the opposite sex
- not be banned from further participating with their own team.
When I started reading the piece I assumed this decline was being driven by financial issues, school budget cuts, etc. But it turns out that wasn’t the case at all. What was driving this decline was the emergence of private sports academies, traveling club teams, and personal coaching programs that were attracting more and more school-age kids whose parents didn’t want to settle for anything less than the best. As these programs grew, college and pro scouts started to drift away from high school sports and began putting these private programs at the top of their scouting lists.
The author’s lament sure didn’t resonate with me ... and I could easily see these sports programs disappear in the face of all this transgender idiocy. I’ll tell you one thing for sure: No parent who spends $10,000-$12,000 per year to put a daughter in one of those programs for softball or soccer or track is ever going to let that girl compete against some mutant with a shmekel who calls himself a girl.
Pardon my naivete, but what is the difference between “biological sex” and “born sex?”
If a person born a male has sexual reassignment surgery, is he then considered female as his biological sex?
I don’t understand why they don’t base this controversy on DNA. That is unchangeable.
