The only references I've seen so far are that it was a "long gun", or an "AR-15 type" of gun, whatever that is. Do journos think a stock Mini-14 is an AR type? A lever action Winchester? I have no idea.

Except it wasn't "random" nor was it "senseless" - not to the perpetrator. You don't just wake up on the wrong side of the bed one day and decide to go do something like that for no reason. The criminal had reasons. Maybe not any that you or I would agree with, but it must have seemed like the last/best alternative to the criminal. bammy is wrong and lying / spinning things - again.

There in lies the rub. The dirty little obvious secret "gun control" proponents don't want you to realize or consider. That is the fundamental, unshakable, unchangeable fact that criminals break laws. People die, not for lack of gun control laws, but because others are pushed to violence by their own lack of control, lack of regard for their fellow human beings, or simply insanity. The result is, they are going to commit acts of violence. More "gun control" (what is that exactly, like more cheese on a pizza, is it a continuum?) Wouldn't make any difference. If the criminal in Boulder is prepared to break a dozen laws, kill and be killed, do you think if there had simply been one more law, some "more gun control" that would have stopped it? Really "Hey I'm ready to kill a bunch of people and go out in a blaze of glory and internet fame... Wait, I can't have more than 10 rounds in my magazines? Gosh, ok, never mind..." Is that really how anyone with better than a room-temperature IQ thinks it would (not) happen? Of course not. "Gun control" laws are not gun control. They merely serve to disarm the law abiding while doing nothing to stop criminals. Everyone who spends more than two minutes considering these facts realizes this. The only people advocating for "gun control" are those that are more interested in incremental civilian disarmament rather than actual public safety. When it comes to killing innocent civilians, governments with disarmed populations in the 20th century killed many times more people than all the petty thugs and insane combined.
