Ran out of options in the US. More than 1000 jobs applied for in my field. No interviews expect the Dalit Indians which ghost you after you say you are a US citizen. 6 EEOC complaints filed that went nowhere.

And the only bona-fide offers came from overseas.

US interviews, 5 or 6 rounds in most cases. Always stopped by the Indian engineering team white-board garbage exam. Foreign interviews, 1 or 3 rounds at most.

This UK gig, 30 minute panel interview with the existing faculty and program chair and I nailed it. (Same with some overseas games dev jobs. Stopped only due to visa restrictions, 2 interviews and hired)

Had a few good ones in the US, with September start dates.
