If the keep distorting and twisting the definition of “Assault Weapon” it will be interpret-able to mean anything. Soon the word “Gun” will suffice. Time to invent either the “Blaster”, or the “Light Saber”.

Either the public has been so indoctrinated that they will cheer being totally controlled, in which case this country is beyond saving.

I watched this happen in Europe during the 1970s and 1980s....the people did not like it, but the media pushed every leftwing agenda item. Soon, there was no firearms for hunting either....because it was a 'bloodsport' for the rich.

Our citizenry is following perfectly along...accepting the narrative created by the press and communists in power.

Initiated by fascist ‘Rats in CONgress.

They are conveniently named in the article. Time to contact their offices and remind them that the 2nd Amendment is inviolate, that they have no right to limit your access to a type of firearm due to the actions of a criminal, and to forcefully expresd your displeasure over their action.

Q1: No probably not, the pistol grip and standard capacity mag make for uncomfortable in the the pants carry, never mind what else may pull out when a crisis draw is attempted.......

Q2: Yes, no, maybe, it depends.....

Those, and the pistols seem to be the main target. I’m sure that AKs are included, as well.

Certain 5.56 rounds will slice right through IIIA body armor that’s rated to stop 9mm, 45, 357.

Hi. I hope you are doing well.

These people can’t even define or identify a firearm, and worse, they can’t use one either.

The democrats are cowards and will send someone or something else to do their bidding.

Like rabid dogs. Only one solution.

5.56mm

It takes a few seconds to take a stock off an AR15 rifle. Making it illegal will literally not stop a single criminal.

So what ?? How many people walk around with that type of body armor on...the point being, a .223 round or .556 round at close against unarmed civilians is no more or no less deadly than 12 gauge buckshot or any of the other rounds I’ve mentioned....you can easily die from all of them...

These lunatics are not gun experts but they are committed to killing people, be it with an AR-15 or Glock 19 or 12 gauge shotgun....it really doesn’t matter because a bunch of people will get shot...

Completely concur with your comment. My point is a 223/5.56 is not simply an amped up .22 LR rd.

Rumors are that they want to categorize “pistol” that can fire a rifle round into the “AOW” category of the NFA of 34 requiring federal tax stamp and registration.

.224 Bullets that fail to expand for lack of speed make tiny holes, so the most commonly purchased ammunition would perform poorly at lower velocities through short barrels. In most self-defense situations, a light weapon can also be important. The Ruger AR-556 weighs 6.5 pounds as differentiated from some 9mm pistols that weigh 15 ounces.

That said, AR pistols can be pretty good for home defense with some kinds of ammunition, but a shotgun could be more effective. Either could be cumbersome for someone who’s half asleep.

Does that body armor protect the face or hips?

Reminder: DACA was an executive order by Obama that legally could have been done away with easily by Trump -EXCEPT he was harangued by a judge or several as DACA was magically untouchable and unalterable.

They will do the same thing with President PedoBear the Potato and anything he signs that gets shoved in front of him.
