I'm leaning towards getting the vaccine at my doc appt tomorrow. Not because Franklin Graham. But because I did further research and think I learned the following:

• They have tested mrna technology for 2 decades in animals and for 1 decade in humans but only in clinical trials. The only thing different is the spike protein incapsulated.
• The swelling in your arm is thought to be a reaction to the nano-lipids that encase the vaccine to allow it time to infect cells. They know that because they tested some blanks with no protein.
• I'm still a little worried about the number of deaths and adverse events reported. The CDC claims none of the deaths were directly attributable to the vaccine. okaaaay. I can't dispute them without a lot more research.
• The Pfizer vaccine had a lower proportion of reactions than the Moderna one had.

I believe in the short run the vaccine is safer than getting covid. 1000 dead after receiving the vaccine, 560,000 dead after getting covid. 30 million known cases in the US, vs 100 million have received the vaccine.

It's probably still safer to hermit. But there is some risk of contracting it, despite my advanced hermitting skills. My kids come and go. I get deliveries, I got to the grocery store. I occasionally have a date over to the house.

So I think I'm going to ask for the Pfizer vaccine. And if Bill Gates kills me, I'll never buy another Microsoft product.

Caveat Emptor. When there are solid medicines out there, why risk an experimental vaccine?

The CDC says none of the deaths after a vaccine were directly attributable to the vaccine...ok so how many of the 560,000 deaths were DIRECTLY attributed to Covid?
