MLB Moves All-Star Game to Colorado, Which Has Voter ID and Fewer Early Voting Days than GA

According to a report, Major League Baseball (MLB) is expected to announce that they have decided to relocate the All-Star Game from Atlanta, Georgia, to Denver, Colorado.

A person familiar with the situation revealed the decision to the Associated Press Monday night.

MLB removed the All-Star Game from Atlanta after Georgia passed a series of voter reforms aimed at safeguarding the integrity of their elections. MLB and other corporations claimed that the new law acted as a “voter suppression” measure by shortening early voting periods and requiring ID.

Putting the falseness of those claims aside, for a moment, one would think that if MLB were so appalled by those measures, they would move their All-Star game to a place that fewer voting restrictions, not more.

However, that is not the case.

Not only does the state of Colorado require proof of identification when casting a ballot to vote, but it also has fewer early voting days than Georgia.

As for the claims that Georgia’s voting laws represent some attempt at severely restricting people’s ability to vote, even the Washington Post gave President Biden four Pinocchios for saying that

Rob Manfred is an idiot.

He’s an imbecile.

He said they were moving the game, to somehow “reflect the values” of baseball, and criticized the Georgia law.

So they are going from a state with a voter ID law, and a certain number of early voting days, to a state with a voter ID law and fewer early voting days.

We are in Orwell’s 1984, if this is seen as some positive political statement over restrictions on voting. They go from one state with allegedly strict voting laws to a state which is even stricter in some ways.

Yep, Trump curse.

This is so absurd. They are so upset about laws on voting, that they go to a state with even stricter measures in place regulating voting.

I’m sure the liberals who wanted to punish Georgia will be willfully ignorant of the absurdity of it.

Maybe we will be told that you can get water bottles when you vote in Colorado, and that was the difference. I know a big liberal talking point about Georgia’s law, is that people will allegedly die of thirst waiting in line to vote.

Yep, that’s where we are at.

I’m sure programs such as Tucker Carlson, Hannity, talk radio, etc. will point out this absurdity of the reasoning behind moving the game from Georgia to Colorado.

But the liberal lies being told on the alphabet networks will be repeated. It’s like a mantra. “Georgia is racist, It’s a return to Jim Crow, it’s not Jim Crow it’s Jim Eagle, people are denied drinking water in the voting line” yadda yadda yadda.

My guess is that MSNBC will NOT mention anything about Colorado voting laws when they report this story.

I know a big liberal talking point about Georgia’s law, is that people will allegedly die of thirst waiting in line to vote.

That's because liberals think blacks are too stupid to bring their own food and water.

Colorado has been voting primarily by mail for years.

https://ballotpedia.org/Voting_in_Colorado
“Colorado permits online voter registration.
Colorado uses a vote-by-mail system for all elections.
If voting in person, voters in Colorado are required to present a valid form of identification at the polls.”

“Colorado uses a vote-by-mail system exclusively, so there is no need for explicit absentee or early voting procedures, except for those who cannot or do not wish to vote by mail. County clerks and recorders automatically send mail ballots to every elector in active status, starting 18 to 22 days before the election. The last day on which a county clerk can mail a ballot to a voter is eight days before the election. However, since electors can register to vote until the polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day, there are always some voters that cannot vote by mail ballot. Therefore, Colorado law requires county clerks to open and operate polling locations called Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) starting 15 days before the election through Election Day, excluding Sundays. Eligible voters can visit any VSPC in their county of residence to do any of the following:

void their mail ballot to vote in person,
register to vote,
update an existing voter registration record,
obtain a mail ballot “over-the-counter,” or
vote in person on paper ballots or accessible voting devices.”

“In Colorado, those convicted of a felony are disenfranchised only as long as they are incarcerated; those on parole, probation, or with unpaid restitution and fines regain their right to vote.”
