IMHO this entire media political feeding frenzy is more about protecting the DOJ/FBI than getting the Congressman.
Watch the Tucker/ Geatz interview. The timing of the Times' story and subsequent social and mainstream media barrage becomes clear.

Are you serious? He’s now #1 on the Deep State hit list, esp. since he couldn’t be extorted. He was smart and called them out. That story about trying to free a dead hostage from Iran is perhaps the dumbest one they’ve ever come up with!
